✨ Students at School 5 proudly joined the Pledge 182 campaign today, committing to attend school every day and on time! Each signature on the pledge represents a promise to show up daily, ready to learn. Even in the summer, the #YonkersMagic continues. #YonkersPublicSchools students in the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) cohort at the Summer Enrichment Academy are building models of body systems while exploring different careers in the CSI field.

This summer, 30 #YonkersPublicSchools teachers are pursuing micro-credential certification in the Science of Reading! Through a partnership with SUNY New Paltz, teachers are diving deep into reading foundational skills, clarifying instructional shifts and reflecting on student learning to ensure that all students have the opportunity to become proficient readers. The #YonkersMagic continues not just for students but for our educators as well!

Today marks the official launch of the Yonkers Public Schools & SUNY New Paltz Kick-Off Free-Microcredentialing program! Through this exciting partnership, 30 #YonkersPublicSchools teachers have been selected to participate to earn the Science of Reading Microcredential Certification —along with graduate credit toward a degree in education from @newpaltz ! This cohort will meet both in person and virtually throughout the summer to help shape the future of reading instruction in our schools.
