Today marks the official launch of the Yonkers Public Schools & SUNY New Paltz Kick-Off Free-Microcredentialing program! Through this exciting partnership, 30 #YonkersPublicSchools teachers have been selected to participate to earn the Science of Reading Microcredential Certification —along with graduate credit toward a degree in education from @newpaltz ! This cohort will meet both in person and virtually throughout the summer to help shape the future of reading instruction in our schools. The first cohort completed its five session training on best practices for using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The AI Micro Credentialing Course provided tools to support teachers in effectively developing exams and lessons. School building leaders learned how to craft prompts, use multiple AI platforms, and save time on day-to-day tasks which in turn allows for more one on one time with students.
