@chriswithans While you’re right, the main thing is to prove a point to establishment since they refuse to act. Cornyn also, historically, is a pretty terrible conservative senator based on his voting record. And this is all ignoring the politic game, which Cornyn is deeply entrenched in.

Cornyn is nothing like Tillis or Cassidy. He’ll probably lose tomorrow but if he wins, it’ll be because he’s handled himself much better than any other primaried senator or Congressman. I personally never understood the hate he gets. That said, no one is entitled to a seat so it’s not like Paxton was breaking the law by running in a primary. And “nice guy” Hunt ran in the primary too! Massie had to go. Cassidy was way out of step with his state. But if Cornyn does win, it’s just a couple of Senate votes difference between him and Paxton over this coming term.

I filed with FEC for the 2028 House race. This allows me to raise funds to continue my political operations supporting my position as a current office holder and as a potential candidate for federal office. I haven’t made a final decision about which office to seek, if I run.

So, Sen Tillis says he is now unfiltered due to him retiring and he can now say things he couldn't before due to "political considerations." In other words, Tillis admits to lying to voters for the last 12 years to get re-elected and now that he isn't running again he can finally tell the voters exactly how he feels about them. Not sure this is the flex he thinks it is.

Senate leadership considers the Senate chamber theirs, not the People’s. And it’s sickening. Sen. John Thune, a life long RINO gasbag, is mad for a few reasons… one being that John Cornyn is going to get voted off the island with his opponent (Ken Paxton) getting Trumps endorsement. So, now he’s essentially holding the county hostage as a result. Oh, and did I mention that without the SAVE America Act, there’s a good chance that our Republic could be lost? Who here voted for President John Thune? I sure as hell didn’t.
