ACP ALIYU SHABA is the Area Commander of Effurun Area Command, the officer incharge of Usman Nuhu and his gang that Extrajudicially killed Oghenemine. Watch out for a Conspiracy by some stakeholders in my State to cover up this crime. Watch out. Till now, ONLY ONE officer is in custody? What happened to others? Including the police officer that assisted Usman Nuhu to fix his AK-47 magazine? TILL ALL THE OFFICERS ARE FISHED OUT, I PERSONALLY WON'T STOP. DEMAND FOR THEIR PROSECUTION! #EndPoliceBrutality #ExtraJudicialKillings #alwaysfilmthepolice Harrison Gwamnishu

The Islamic imam who put 1million naira to any Muslim that can behead a pastor for preaching Jesus has said: “…whoever carries out this job (of beheading the pastor), I swear to Allah I’ll give him one million naira. We have nothing to lose even if after beheading this pastor, the Arewa plunges into chaos, we have nothing to lose…” Dear @OfficialDSSNG @PoliceNG We know you will pretend not to see this. But we are bringing this to your attention again. There are Muslim clerics in northern Nigeria who are openly calling for the beheading of Christian pastors. Pls help retweet this for the world to see.

May we not leave home to hustle and kpai🙏 He left his shop to deliver an iPhone 17 Pro Max. The buyer had said he would pay on arrival. When he got there, he was instructed to enter a building shown in the picture. The buyer gave him an apartment number, but it turned out to be a well-planned setup. He was attacked and k!lled, and the buyer fled with the phone, His b0dy has since been discovered, and an investigation has been launched. Truly, the world can be very cruel He was only trying to earn a living for his family To all those doing home deliveries, please be extremely careful. Always verify your customers properly before moving to unfamiliar locations. Avoid going alone to isolated buildings or meeting points that feel suspicious. Whenever possible, share your live location with someone you trust and inform them of your delivery route. Your safety is more important than any order. No delivery is worth your life. Rest in peace to the brave man 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Yet today I stood in Bokkos local government where sorrow hangs heavy in the air where we lost eight precious souls to Fulani terrorists Eight lives gone in a moment Eight families shattered beyond words Eight voices that will never be heard again The cries of mothers the silence of fathers the tears of children it all echoes in my heart and refuses to fade But even in this pain even in this unbearable grief I make this vow from the depths of my soul I will never stop interceding for my people I will never be silent in the face of this darkness I will never grow weary in lifting their names before God For He sees every tear He hears every cry and He is near to the brokenhearted Psalm 34 18 No matter how deep the pain no matter how long the night I will keep praying I will keep standing I will keep believing Because my people will not be forgotten Their blood will not cry in vain And their hope will not die in silence

Please be cautious when buying petrol at filling stations. It’s the second time they’ve tried to scam me. The first incident happened at NNPC filling stations in Ojodu and the second this morning at Mobil Petrol and CNG station at the Challenge bus stop, Vono along the Agege motorway. After informing the attendant of the petrol amount I wanted, they programmed the same amount into the machine and started dispensing it. Suddenly, the machine stopped and the exact amount began blinking on the digital display. The first time at NNPC, I hadn’t experienced anything like it but was sceptical. I asked why the display only showed the figure and not the litres I bought. He said, “He thinks they changed the power switch, that’s why it’s like that.” It was early morning and I was travelling, so I wanted to believe him and continue on my way. However, I wasn’t convinced. I asked if the power was stable now and he said yes. I then asked, “Please display the total litres sold.” When I checked the last sale amount, it wasn’t up to what I wanted. After some back-and-forth, he called his colleague who pressed buttons on the other side of the machine. The exact amount he had dispensed then appeared on the display. I think he shorted me about 7-8k. I simply asked him to finish my petrol and left. When I saw the same digital display blinking this morning, I knew the lady was trying to pull a fast one on me. I asked why the display was blinking and she said the light went off and all that. I told her to pull the litres sold and she called her colleague. Suddenly, the exact amount she had sold appeared on the display. She had shorted me about 5-6k without me asking. She did the calculations and completed my sale. I’m certain they’ve successfully stolen from many people. Please be vigilant.

A Nigerian man was working as a cashier at a DIY (hardware) store in London. He was caught letting his wife steal £200 worth of materials. Both convicted. One year later he was arrested again. This time at Euston station with another man’s stolen credit card. Convicted again. He returned to Nigeria. And he ran for governor of Delta State. Nigerian law said you cannot run if you have a criminal conviction. He forged his date of birth on his passport to hide his UK record. Nobody checked. He won. 😂😂😂 His official salary as governor was $25,000 a year. He bought six properties in London. A mansion in Johannesburg. Properties in Washington and Houston. A private jet worth $20 million. A Bentley. A Maybach. A fleet of armoured Range Rovers. His American Express bills showed he spent tens of thousands of dollars every single month on luxury hotels, clubs and shopping. In 2007 Nigeria’s anti-corruption chief accused him of stealing $250 million from Delta State. Ibori offered the EFCC chairman $15 million in cash to drop the case. The chairman pretended to accept. Then deposited the cash at the Central Bank. Nigerian courts still acquitted him on all 170 charges. He ran. Escaped to Dubai. A mob of his supporters fought off the police trying to arrest him. Interpol caught him in Dubai. The UK extradited him. In 2012 he pleaded guilty in a London court. The judge called the £50 million he admitted to stealing “ludicrously low.” He was sentenced to 13 years. Served half. Returned to Nigeria in 2017. A sitting senator was in the crowd that welcomed him home. His name is James Ibori. Nigeria never convicted him once. 🇳🇬

Inibehe Effiong is a lawyer from Akwa Ibom. He doesn't make pop music. He doesn't appear on reality TV. He goes to court. For Nigerians who can't afford to go to court themselves. Human rights. Civil liberties. Press freedom. Accountability. He's been jailed for his advocacy. He's had threats. He's kept going. This is the kind of Akwa Ibom person who rarely trends, but whose work matters in ways that outlast any hit song or viral moment. The Land of Promise produces artists and athletes. It also produces people who fight for the rights of others when fighting costs something.

For several hours today, thousands of people in the Opebi-Ikeja axis were stranded, some stuck in their cars, others trekking long distances. There were people who trekked from Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way to Allen; some trekked from Customs to Opebi. You want to know why? Because President Bola Tinubu was commissioning a bridge built by Babajide Sanwo-Olu. A bridge. A common bridge was why taxpayers suffered for hours. Every now and then, you see signs that many of the people in governance are tone-deaf, with scant understanding of the essence of governance: the people. You built a bridge for the people; why suffer them first before letting them use it? Why do we need a president and commander-in-chief of the armed forces to open a bridge? And why does this have to be done at the expense of public comfort? Who did this to us as a people?

FRSC, VIO or Police who really has the Right to Check Driver’s Licence? Stop Guessing let’s settle it today. Everyday on major roads and cities one officer stops you. Tomorrow another one stops you. Next tomorrow, one new uniform you’ve never seen before appears and says: “Show me your driver’s licence!” Relax. Let me break it down for you Not everybody wearing uniform has the power to check your driver’s licence. The law is clear. The powers are different. Let’s settle this matter once and for all. 🥢 FRSC (Federal Road Safety Corps) These ones have full legal power to check: ✔ Driver’s licence ✔ Vehicle documents ✔ Safety compliance ✔ Number plates ✔ Roadworthiness ✔ Speed violations They enforce federal traffic laws. They can stop you, inspect your papers, and issue fines. What they CANNOT do: ✔️They cannot impound your vehicle for personal reasons ✔️They cannot demand bribe ✔️They cannot forcefully seize your keys ✔️They cannot arrest you for non-criminal matters Their job is road safety not harassment. 🥢 VIO (Vehicle Inspection Office) These ones focus on the car itself, not you. Their job is mechanical inspection: ✔ Roadworthiness ✔ Vehicle condition ✔ Emissions ✔ Testing vehicles before issuing roadworthiness certificates They CAN check vehicle documents related to the car's health BUT they cannot stop you on federal highways. Their power is mostly within states and here’s the part most people don’t know, they do NOT have legal authority to demand your driver’s licence on public roads. Driver’s licence is not their jurisdiction. What they CANNOT do: ✔️They cannot chase your vehicle ✔️They cannot stand on highways checking licences ✔️They cannot demand unrelated documents ✔️They cannot threaten arrest They are inspectors not law enforcement. 🥢 NIGERIA POLICE FORCE Police can legally: ✔ Request driver’s licence ✔ Check your identity ✔ Verify vehicle ownership ✔ Investigate stolen vehicles ✔ Enforce criminal offences on the road Because driver’s licence is a means of identification, and police handle law enforcement generally. But what they CANNOT do: ✔️ They cannot impose traffic fines ✔️ They cannot ask for money ✔️ They cannot seize your phone because of traffic stop ✔️ They cannot force you out of the car without cause ✔️They cannot impound your vehicle except for criminal suspicion Their job is security not roadside extortion. The Simple Summary (Save This): 🥢 FRSC → CAN check driver’s licence 🥢 Police → CAN check driver’s licence 🥢 VIO → CANNOT check driver’s licence Different uniforms. Different powers. Different laws. Stop allowing everyone on the road to intimidate you. Know your rights. Know their limits. Know the law. Arm yourself with knowledge, not panic. ©️Confidence Aribibia

The Nigerian authorities must investigate the reckless use of fire arms by the military that killed a girl in Maiduguri Borno state. The 14-years-old secondary school student was killed on Saturday 4 April after being hit by a stray bullet while inside her home. The fatal shot was reportedly fired by military personnel engaged in celebratory gunfire during a wedding ceremony at a nearby event center. A family friend of the victim said: “She (the deceased) lived in the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) quarters with her family and was inside her home when the tragedy occurred. She had just finished applying henna for her mother and herself, joyfully preparing for a family wedding scheduled for that same day.” While her funeral was held this morning at Maiduguri graveyard, her family and friends are left seeking answers for a death that was entirely preventable. Amnesty International calls for a transparent, impartial and effective investigation of the incident to safeguard lives and ensure justice.
