Just heard the best/worst caller on the Dave Ramsey podcast. Married couple, under 30. $145,000 household income. Came on the show to celebrate paying off the mortgage on their $450,000 Georgia home. Said they starting paying it off early 5 years ago, meaning they had a low interest rate home loan (probably <3%) and started to aggressively pay it down right as interest rates were starting to rise. Dave Ramsey loved it, launching into a lecture about how 26-year olds who say they can’t buy homes should look at this couple for inspiration. Hahaha.

I genuinely in my heart believe the NBA rigged the lottery in Dallas favor after they saw a top four Market crumbling when the season ended. I would have not watched this team anymore, the way I barely watch the Cowboys. I believe a large portion of the fan base would have abandoned this team as well. No way Adam Silver could have a cash cow like the Mavericks crumble like that. Can't prove it and if you look at it objectively it seems impossible to rig that Lottery because they have so many Protections in place. But I know that MFer did it lol.

Thoughts: 1. Nimmo with two more hits 🥱. Hitting .367 now. We won the trade. 2. Pederson with a walk and a hit and the big 2 out single that led to the run to take the lead 2-1 in the third. He’s coming around. 3. Jung with 2 hits and 2 walks. Really besides the ball he swung at to strikeout in his final at bat he looked like he was reading the ball out of the hand very well all day. Let’s hope it’s the beginning of a hot streak. 4. Jansen 3 walks today. Awesome. But more importantly, THREE overturns ABS calls today. Obviously it’s been insanely bad all year how little we have challenged balls and strikes. Hopefully he saw how helpful that can be today and continues that. 5. Hopefully even if Langford is back in a day or two, Carter stays in the 2 hole against righties. 6. Fully expected deGrom to come out of the game after the 5th, was pleasantly surprised to see him back out for the 6th. sure hope that becomes the new norm as well. 7. Jakob Junis continues to have balls of steel out there. Still 0 runs allowed in 9 innings pitched this year. 8. Tied with Athletics for first place right now and 4 games with them coming up. We usually suck on the road vs them taking 3 sure would be nice though. #allfortx

Watching The Masters very limited advertising, tiny number of elite sponsors, wondering if/why not the NFL/NBA/MLB do the same thing. Far less commercials with far fewer sponsors/advertisers paying huge premiums for that right. Money could be same/better, viewers would love it.
