From "help is on the way” for Iranian protestors to threatening war crimes against an entire population. The United States is being run by a maniacal tyrant hell bent on destroying this country and the world along with it.

🚨 “If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST…” - President DONALD J. TRUMP

NEW: In a letter to employees, United CEO Scott Kirby says the airline is prepping for oil to hit $175/barrel & “doesn't get back down to $100/barrel until the end of 2027.” United is shaving 3% of off-peak flights - “think redeyes, Tues/Wed/Sat flying” - this spring & summer.

The CBS radio network played a remarkable role in our history & the evolution of broadcast journalism. It produced some of the most iconic reporting & spawned many of the greatest broadcast journalists of the 20th century. The legacy is enormous. Its shuttering, a jarring crosswords.
Brian Stelter@brianstelter

A second memo from Bari Weiss and Tom Cibrowski says CBS News Radio is shutting down. Here's the memo: Today, we informed our CBS News Radio team and approximately 700 affiliated stations that we will end the service on May 22, 2026. Unfortunately, this decision means that all positions within the CBS News Radio team are being eliminated.  We understand how difficult this news is for our staff and their colleagues, who have worked side by side with us to cover some of the most significant stories of our time. While this was a necessary decision, it was not an easy one.  A shift in radio station programming strategies, coupled with challenging economic realities, has made it impossible to continue the service.  We are sharing this announcement now to fulfill our commitments to our radio partners and affiliates, which require advance notice of the service’s conclusion. For nearly 100 years, CBS News Radio has delivered original reporting to the nation—from Edward R. Murrow’s World War II reports in London to today’s daily White House updates.  Our signature broadcast, “World News Roundup,” remains the longest-running newscast in the country.  CBS News Radio served as the foundation for everything we have built since 1927. The coming weeks will be difficult for the team members who have worked tirelessly at CBS News Radio.  We are committed to supporting these valued colleagues with care and respect as we wind down operations.  They have been critical to our success and remain treasured friends and professionals.  We thank them deeply for their contributions. Thank you all for your dedication and for the compassion you show one another as we move forward. Bari and Tom

This is disgraceful. It's wrong to treat war as a video game. It's worse to use the image of the dignified transfer of an American soldier's casket as a scene in a political fundraising appeal with the promise "private national security briefings" to donors.
Andrew Kaczynski@KFILE

NEW: A fundraising email from President Donald Trump’s political action committee has a provocative pitch: using an image from Saturday’s dignified transfer honoring six fallen US soldiers, it promises access to the president’s “private national security briefings.” cnn.com/2026/03/13/pol…

Since posting the below (about the FBI's recent uncovering of 38 POSSIBLE non-citizen voters of Nevada's 1.4 million votes in 2020), I've heard from some critics: CRITIC 1: "You said elections are 'perfect.' This shows they aren't." ME 1: First, this shows nothing. Possibilities don't mean that the 38 non-citizens voted. More importantly: I've NEVER said elections are 'perfect.' Never. But people continue to hold this up as a straw man against anyone who says "are elections aren't rigged." I've proposed reforms every single year since 2017. Large elections always have some mistakes and some fraud. CRITIC 2: "You've gone from saying non-citizens NEVER vote, to now 38 possible cases." ME 2: I've written very publicly (New York Times, Washington Post, etc.) about the investigations revealing a handful of non-citizens who have voted in various jurisdictions. But all of these are well below 0.1% of voters. That's effectively zero. CRITIC 3: "The only acceptable number is ZERO." ME 3: Ok. I'm sympathetic to the idea of perfect law enforcement (we can all dream). But think about if you were running a CVS. You might say, "the ideal level of shoplifting is ZERO." If that was the most important thing, then you'd post guards in every shopping aisle, and you'd pat-down customers before they leave the store. Your amount of shoplifting would go down to zero or close to zero. But you'd spend a ton of money, and you'd lose customers. With elections, it's similar. If you ONLY cared about fraud, you'd thoroughly investigate every voter, you'd make every vote go to the poll at a specific time, and you'd administer a fingerprint test, a retina-scan, and a DNA swab. Obviously that's the extreme case. But it shows that there's a tradeoff. People would feel violated, major privacy concerns, and turnout would plummet. This is further complicated in the voting world because voting is a Constitutional right. Shopping at CVS, buying liquor, taking a flight, etc. are NOT Constitutional rights. The courts closely examine any encumbrance of that right. So state legislatures have created systems that balance this. And they have done a very good job for the most part of creating easy access, minimally invasive, but still keep fraud to a very, very low amount. CRITIC 4: "Well then you shouldn't oppose the SAVE Act!" ME 4: I support documented proof of citizenship requirements. I always have. But that's not all the SAVE Act does. And also, implementation matters.
Stephen Richer@stephen_richer

38 non-citizens MAY have voted in Nevada's 2020 election. Nevada has 2.1 million active registered voters. Nevada is close to the border. It has one of the Latino populations (as %) in the country. And we are still just talking 38 POSSIBILITIES. This is a non-factor.

Arizona is a bottom-up state when it comes to elections. Our counties, your neighbors and mine, do the hard work to keep Arizona’s elections safe, secure and accessible. As Arizona’s Secretary of State, I will do everything in my power to fight for our voters and election administrators.

I'm proud to have secured more than $800,000 in federal funding for @CASS_AZ, which plays a crucial role in combating homelessness in the Phoenix metropolitan area. CASS has helped many in our community get back on their feet. This funding will help them continue to provide shelter and services to those in-need.

A reminder that while grifters and lunatics like @RealMarkFinchem and @WendyRogersAZ are running their mouths now about alleged 2020 fraud... When invited by the Attorney General to give actual evidence... They were very quiet. Here's from the Attorney General staff report:

For those happy people who haven't thought about the 2020 election in a long time. A reminder that: - Maricopa County did a post-election hand-count audit - Multiple lawsuits, involving evidence, failed following the 2020 election - Trump's own 2020 election law team said "we're not alleging fraud." - The Cyber Ninjas were discredited, admitted some of their own errors, and went bankrupt after their Arizona adventure - @votewarren (Warren Petersen) called the 2020 election "old news" and wondered why people were still asking about the Cyber Ninjas. - No lawsuits came out of the Cyber Ninjas. -The Attorney General's Office under Mark Brnovich spent 10,000 man hours investigating the 2020 election results. They found no material fraud or error. - This is all an embarrassment to Arizona. Credit Karen Fann, who will surely help another wave of Republicans lose their statewide elections in 2026.

Khamenei was the epitome of evil. For decades, he oversaw the torture, imprisonment, and murder of countless Iranians who dared to demand freedom. American blood is on his hands as well. No one should mourn him and his death is a relief. But removing one man does not dismantle a brutal regime. Military force alone will not secure a democratic future for the Iranian people, and it risks putting U.S. troops in further danger if there is no serious plan for what comes next. An action of this magnitude demands strategy, clarity, and a credible path forward. I want nothing more than a free Iran and safety and security for innocent Iranians. That requires more than force. It requires seriousness, accountability, and a real plan to support the Iranian people in determining their own future.

CNN's Kareem El Damanhoury reports cheers and celebrations were heard in parts of Tehran Saturday night following reports of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei’s death. In one video from an eyewitness in Tehran, the voices of two women can be heard chanting “Death to the Islamic Republic” and “Long Live the Shah” in Farsi.
