@ProspectsUsmnt It’s an open competition no doubt. No one has been fully anointed. Next cycle especially will be interesting to see if he can keep progressing.

Chris Brady has been one of the few best players in MLS so far this season.
This is now his fourth season as an MLS starter. There were moments in the first first few seasons where he looked elite and one or two moments where he struggled (mostly at the beginning of the first season), but he was a solid starting MLS GK from ages 19-21, which is very rare.
Now after having just turned 22 he’s taken an even bigger step. He’s now ready to move to a higher level. I think at latest in January he should be looking for a transfer. Maybe even this summer.
As it relates to the USMNT, I really don’t understand why he’s not being given a chance to play.
So most people can admit that they’d rather see Freeman (mind you out of position at RCB) than like Miles Robinson and Tristan Blackmon.
What makes Turner and Freese so much more appealing? They’re late 20’s/early 30’s MLS’ers who either have proven they aren’t good enough for the top leagues in the world or have yet to try their hand at that level (and may never).
What makes Chris Brady less experienced than Matt Freese for all intents and purposes? Freese has played 9 more first team games in his career. They have the same experience level.
Does Turner have more experience? Yes, but it’s experience playing poorly. Again, I’m not sure how that is some sort of feather in his cap when there’s not a positive history there.
If you think it’s too late because the World Cup is next month, then maybe we should ask why our brilliant manager has yet to cap this player who I think at this point it’s beyond doubt deserves an opportunity.
He’s a former top prospect who played very early in the first division for a young GK, did a solid job, developed, and now he’s developing into a player who maybe is the caliber of GK that matches up with the rest of the senior national team starters. We know the other two GK’s aren’t that.
In what scenario would you not start giving this player more playing time?
It’s time for Brady to be handed the keys to the USMNT #1 role until he fails in it or another young GK challenges him for the spot. There’s really no good argument against it anymore.

@USMNTOtaku @NBCSportsSoccer we’ll take it. Not exactly in the corner, but gets him on the board.

Anthropic made a small update yesterday that most people missed, but it's a big deal in my opinion.
You can now toggle remote control on by default for local sessions.
This means I can now resume all my Claude Code chats from my phone, even the local ones, which is how I use my AgentOS.
No more Dispatch or buggy Telegram plugin. All my chats are now synced to my phone.

@USMNTOtaku @nachodonado just insane that this was in training. He was literally robbed of the WC. Not fair at all. He did well in the Champions League - he belonged. So understated what a loss this is for the US.

❗️ Johnny Cardoso underwent successful surgery on his right ankle in Barcelona. He is expected to be out for approximately two months. His goal is to be ready to join preseason training with Atletico Madrid.

“It’s not a failed stint.”
Former USMNT striker Hérculez Gómez spoke about James Rodríguez on ESPN’s Fútbol Americas show.
James signed for Minnesota United in February but has only played five games and missed seven. He’s set to leave this week for Colombia’s World Cup camp.
Has it been a failed signing by MLS? Herc doesn’t think so.
“It’s not a failed stint. Now, bear with me,” the former striker said.
“A failed stint would have been if they paid James Rodríguez millions and millions and millions of dollars to be their star DP player, to be here for the long run.
“That's not what happened here. We don't know the amount, but he wasn't a DP.
“We don't know the circumstances of how long he plans to stay or what he told Minnesota, but what we do know is only in preparation of getting himself ready.
“MLS needs players like James Rodríguez. This is like any other club around the world where a player goes in for six months.
“We just saw Sergio Ramos in Monterrey. We've seen these type of actions before.
“He's trying to get himself ready in Minnesota, a club that desperately needs any type of fanfare is using James Rodríguez to their advantage, and this is a player that, when healthy, can provide something for you. That's a reality.
“Here's another reality. He wasn't healthy. Yeah, you know, and things like this happen. But if you're asking me if it was a success, maybe not a success, but it also wasn't a failure.
“I don't see anything wrong, especially for what they paid out of him. He's not a DP.
“What I'm trying to get at here is every club has free will to do what they want to try to win a championship, right?
“So what Minnesota does with their finances and with their fanfare is very much different than what Inter Miami would do, or LA Galaxy, or LAFC, or Seattle Sounders. And that's a reality.
“But Minnesota trying to change something, trying to sell tickets, trying to say, maybe a creative player can spark us in a new direction. I'm okay with that.”
James had two assists in yesterday’s game against Austin FC. He’s expected to play one last game with Minnesota on Wednesday.
