The Japanese have 100x (at least) more density than Canada. HSR makes economic sense there. They are also capable of building infrastructure efficiently and without corruption.

Calling it the “healthcare system” in Canada is an oxymoron. In the last 2 weeks I’ve seen nothing healthy or caring about a relatives hospital stay. I’ve seen a massive decline and a complete disregard for the patient in every capacity. If you don’t advocate for yourself and your family, no one will.

@anhkhoido I live in walking distance to Union Station. I could definitely benefit from HSR. But most of the population cannot. Our transit is poor and traffic is horrendous.

@anhkhoido You said the corridor was 85sq km. As for the "corridor", most of them don't live within a reasonable distance from the proposed stations to make HSR practical for them.
