I had no idea when I took this photo this morning that it would be my final picture of Tucker and we would be saying goodbye later in the day. He loved the country life and now he is part of it forever. We are devastated and heartbroken that my buddy is gone.

@erik_thorvalds With how far west we sit in Mountain Time Zone, Standard Time makes the most sense for Alberta. It most closely matches our noon with true solar noon.

NO. As someone from Northern Alberta, with Standard Time, we would have sunrises at 3am. Even before 3am in the far north of Alberta. Bananas. Waste of a summer’s day when we have such precious few of them. Best to opt for permanent Daylight Time.

@akafaceUS There is so much to unpack here. He could be interfering with the fire response. Opening those doors impacts the flow path of O2 and could be putting firefighters at risk. Not to mention his presence in the building is adding to the risk profile. Life first, then property.

@Brink_Thinker Someone not paying attention enough to hit that object will also plow into a pedestrian. This was a nice gesture but extremely dangerous. We see enough people plow into large fire trucks with flashing lights, never mind just a little car with hazards on.

@AliceLFord We have visited a number of castles in Europe but my favorite was this abandoned one in Luxembourg. I would have loved to have been able to see the inside. This was 2019.

@PenguinsJesus These players need to start treating shootouts like a breakaway in a game and come in fast like there is a defender chasing them instead of coming in slow.

I love Sid. But someone in that media scrum has to say “You’re a top 5 player in your sport all-time. Why can’t you score in a shootout?” I’m genuinely curious as to the answer. I’m sure it’s harder than I think it is, and Sid can explain it. But I want to know.

@CPSSgtMartin I agree. In the whiteout conditions yesterday everyone knew the traffic would be slow so we didn’t need hazard lights to warn other drivers. Save them for when you’re actually stopped. When everyone uses them they lose their impact.

I’ve noticed more people driving with hazard lights on in storms/poor visibility. My thoughts are that it makes you & everyone around you LESS safe. It’s very distracting & disorienting for other drivers; it’s safer to use your headlights & taillights. Thoughts?

If Jarry is going to Edmonton, he did Dubas a favor by being ***t last night. Easier sell to the room. Murashov has been fire in Wilkes. But the bottom line is, you gotta dump Jarry’s contract when the opportunity presents. If it’s now, it’s now.

I thought about the offside challenges/review this morning. I cannot stand it. I obviously understand how and why it ended up being implemented- but I hate it. So what about this idea… Video review on an offside challenges has to be played at full speed. No ultra slow motion. No frame by frame. If you cannot tell without dissecting it like the Zapruder film, it wasn’t enough of an infraction to affect the scoring opportunity.

INSTA-ANALYSIS: CFL Commissioner Johnson came with a polished, optimistic presentation at the State of the League address. He also came armed with stats about how the new rules will enhance the current CFL game. He has staked an awful lot on this new football approach!
