Sometimes I wonder if people today truly understood what President Kennedy was trying to warn us about when he spoke about peace, responsibility, sacrifice, and the future of America. Watching that speech now feels completely different because you can almost feel how much faith he had that this country would stay strong, united, disciplined, and guided by values bigger than money, power, and division. Then you look around today and ask yourself honestly… would he even recognize what the world has become?

America… if we failed the vision President Kennedy believed in, then maybe it is time to admit it honestly. Maybe it is time to stop pretending everything is fine while society keeps falling apart around us. Show us the path again. Because a lot of people feel like the world lost its soul a long time ago.

NYC Administrative Code 19-136 says it is unlawful to obstruct a public sidewalk. Blocking the path with people falls under disorderly conduct in the state penal law. If some people are intentionally obstructing pedestrian traffic CALL 311 to report.

Looks like there is a mosque right near the school, and these may be congregants. But the alarm from my constituents is understandable amidst the almost daily protests and emboldened public displays of antisemitism across our city which have blurred the line between provocation and genuine acts of religious faith.
