FIA spots irregularities in front wing closing so Mercs paint a super detailed wolf face on it to make it near impossible to see the aero movements 😂 Well played, Mercedes, well played.

hey, we have a new conspiracy in town and this one's juicy, dropping right before the long break 🙌 "Mercedes uses the car's active aerodynamics to adjust the W17's braking balance: an interesting system, but under review by the FIA to verify its compliance with the regulations"
FormulaTecnica ⚙️@Formula_Tecnica

@Angeel_ab @there_is_no_if All of RB said this. As they knew they'd not be competitive in 2026. The question remains, where were MVs complaints on the GE regs when he was dominant? Pretty non existent until mid 2024...when the RB fell off the pace (about the time FIA found the asymmetric braking loophole)

Max: "It's just Kimi or George that is winning, right? It's not really back and forth. They're miles ahead of the field." Also Max (but I guess back then was different):

🚨| Max Verstappen denies theory over 'joke' F1 cars: — Max Verstappen has dismissed claims that his criticism of the 2026 F1 cars is linked to Red Bull's current standing in the competition. Despite Red Bull's drop in the pecking order, Verstappen remains vocal about the new technical regulations, which focus heavily on energy harvesting and deployment. "It's just Kimi or George that is winning, right? It's not really back and forth," Verstappen told media. "They're miles ahead of the field. It's just that Ferrari sometimes has these good starts that they push themselves in front, and then it takes a few laps to sort it all out." "This has nothing to do with racing. I would say the same if I was winning races because I care about the racing product." "It's not about being upset of where I am, because I'm actually fighting even more now, of course." "So you get to understand what you have to do and what it is about even more. For me, it's really a joke." — Verstappen also addressed whether the current rules could be improved, expressing skepticism about their fundamental design. "You can help it a little bit." "But it's fundamentally flawed." — Other drivers, including reigning champion Lando Norris, have also expressed dissatisfaction with the new cars early in the regulation cycle. #maxverstappen 🇳🇱 #f12026 VIA: [RacingNews365]

Heartbreak for Max Verstappen, Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella as Mercedes were disqualified after winning the NLS2 due to the team using seven sets of tyres instead of the maximum six sets allowed.

@hermides73 @CxmeronCc @PeterDWindsor What is neutralised is the divebomb crash/yield drive dangerously without penalty advantage MV has enjoyed for years. He's now having to drive to the same conditions as any other driver, which is less "fun".

@ThisIsFormu1a1 Isn't this more about figuring out the best strategies? So what worked before, intuitive, isn't as optimal as something else, counterintuitive. Like when new tarmac was on the track & drivers changed their line as the traditional line was now slower.

🚨| McLaren boss Andrea Stella calls out a counter-intuitive flaw in the new rules — mistakes can sometimes save energy and make a lap faster. He asks whether F1 should tolerate this quirk or tweak the regs, urging fans, drivers, F1 and the FIA to weigh in. #mcLarenf1 🇬🇧 VIA: [gpblog]

"There are some passes that are not battery-assisted, that are not all about the boost or the overtake mode. Lewis Hamilton, twice during the course of the Grand Prix weekend, made a pass at turn eight. That’s not just using his battery. That’s a place where you don’t normally get an overtake. My feeling is that a lot of what we’re seeing is organic racing, and the drivers are using the tools that they have at their disposal, but they’re not always battery-assisted." "There is a bit of a thought out there that everything is happening because of the battery, but that’s not always the case. We do need to see more graphic displays so that we can all understand it at the start of these regulations." - David Croft [via F1 Show podcast]

@RoverZealous23 @thanos876 Indeed it will be interesting, given this year LH has had chance to test & get in the simulator before the season start, whereas 2025 he was restricted.

@thanos876 In the nicest way, if you look back to last season, the gaps between Charles and Lewis in the first two races are pretty much the same with the only difference being Ferrari are more competitive. It’s going to be interesting to see over the next few races

@TruthF111 This was literally their reply to me when I asked them "wtf is real racing then?" And proceeded to list multiple different series including F1 with DRS. They completely ignored my question tho. Like is indy/moto/IMSA/WEC/NASCAR real or just as fake?

By this logic things like DRS were also never in the spirit of F1 but clapped had no issues when max was taking advantage of it with a spaceship This is why I never shy from calling out clowns like clapped Whenever max would act like a cunt, despite being at an advantage, clapped would actually ‘die at that hill’ and ask all maxies to be unapologetic about it Now he’s suddenly ‘neutral’ I’ve been observing people like clapped and many other maxies pretending to be intellectuals for quite sometime They’re just clowns trying to sell themselves as smart

It’s just a different type of racing. It’s more tactical and strategic and it’s producing closer, more sustained, battles. The cars, PUs aside, are much better. Max wouldn’t be whinging about it so much if he had a better car. If #F1 isn’t for him, he knows where the door is…

@BradleyPhilpot Makes all the difference when drivers can race fairly & requires skill. Not just torpedo others, safe in the knowledge FIA will rule (or even change the rules) in their favour regardless, penalising anyone else that does the exact same thing.

@Anthonyt8fp @thanos876 If they'd split strategy they may have made merc have to push & force a 2nd stop which could have advantaged the ferrari on the 1 stop.
