@ShedlyYard Will try to firm up the supports for the next lot.
English

@DanderhallR I find this sometimes. I notice it when I print the same thing, one after another gives a higher chance of failing.
English

@1701aStarship @hr_unhinged Ive to walk from point if work, use 2 machines just to reach the water cooler, and then when I want to return to work, go up 6m of stairs, along a hall and back down 6m to be nearly where I started.
To be cost effective I normally hang around till I need a pee after the water
English

@hr_unhinged What a slow work day for you eh!
Hydration is key to maintaining optimum performance. How many other employees take smoke breaks? What is the lost time with these? What draconian workplace are you running!
English

I saw an employee refilling his water bottle three times in one morning.
That's a lot of walking.
I timed his route from desk to cooler.
45 seconds each way.
That's 4.5 minutes of lost ROI per day just on hydration logistics.
I approached him about his fluid intake strategy.
He said he was just thirsty.
I told him thirst is a mindset, but walking is a verifiable cost center.
He asked if he should stop drinking water.
I said no, we value health, but we also value stationary optimization.
I suggested he bring a gallon jug to minimize transit waste.
He looked at me like I was crazy.
I logged "excessive biological maintenance" in his performance file.
Next week I'm removing the cooler to encourage bladder discipline.

@DibsYard @DanderhallR What about 2 holes each side of line, wide enough for 2 pieces of dowel? The 2 pieces of dowel are attached to a small panel of wood tall enough for stock, with foam on rail side, so when the dowel is in holes the panel rests on track creating a barrier

English

@DibsYard This was the dilemma I came up with auto braking sections.
And definitely better to have something.
English

@DanderhallR Very good questions.
1) No. 😕
2) err not tried it fast yet!
But it is better than nothing. I may have to add a physical barrier too.

@Andy_Ross1962 @PaterPracticus Its the advantage of resin where extra surface area doesnt impact print time.
English

@PaterPracticus @DanderhallR When I wasn't sure about exact dimensions or supports I would print several slight variations in one print to quickly narrow things down.
English

@PaterPracticus Yup. Ive some electrical enclosures for the crane printing to add more.
English

@DanderhallR Absolutely. With some fairly rudimentary CAD skills you can make all sorts of stuff, effectively from scratch.

English

@PaterPracticus Just when you think you have it the next print says different.
When i printed the fuel flasks I did 4 different orientation at once and then picked the best. Slight waste of resin but saved on time
English

@DanderhallR I’m still on a steep learning curve with this. I tried twice with the frames angled at 30 degrees, with varying success, but went back to vertical for this one. Also very slightly boosted the exposure time. Learning all the time.

@adipullenLNER @SamsTrains Different livery, sounds silly but could be
English

Both tt120
Same company same class same scale two different prices
Am I missing something
@SamsTrains

English

@mwt2008 Definitely, its less a decision to be taken on financial grounds and one to consider the moral/ethical side of it.
English

@DanderhallR There are externalities of continuing to burning gas for longer to factor in too such as climate change and NOx air pollution exposure.
