Well, this certainly blew up, and I see our British cousins still have strong and mixed feelings about Boris Johnson. I can’t vote for or against the man, so I will sit out the wild UK political Donnybrook that has broken out in these comments. But there hasn’t been an American politician in my lifetime—and probably not since Teddy Roosevelt or Woodrow Wilson more than a century ago—who could recite from memory in Greek from The Iliad to match the deceptively disheveled BoJo. And in front of the classics faculty at an American university, at that.

It’s not every day that one gets to listen to a former British Prime Minister recite from memory the opening passages of The Iliad in Ancient Greek, with no notes, in response to a random question from an undergraduate—and all while wearing what appear to be Thomas The Tank Engine socks. But today was one such day. My thanks to my good friend Brad LaMorgese for the opportunity to see the colorful and comic Boris Johnson speak tonight at the University of Dallas.

@jdpoc He's not though. If the cost of living was lower and corporation tax was lower and business was encouraged to flourish, the situation where someone working hard needs benefits would go away. We need to forget things like net zero to cut energy costs and also cut taxes.

That’s such bullshit. You people are nuts. Do any of you realize that President Trump is the one that sued so that he can allow minorities in Mar-a-Lago when he bought it because Palm Beach County wouldn’t allow it. He paid for the case and won the case so that blacks could be admitted into Mar-a-Lago. You people cry racism about a different colored dog I swear to God you would.

@exnavynightflyr @Rep_Stansbury So you know nothing about Fidesz and Hungary - great! As you well know Ukraine is in the middle of a war that Russia started. Elections are usually suspended in times of war. Lastly, who pays you?

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) intends to almost quadruple its usual prices for a round-trip train ticket from the center of Boston to Gillette Stadium during the 2026 World Cup. According to the MBTA website, the authority usually charges people $20 for a return ticket from train stations in the center of Boston for special events such as New England Patriots games in the NFL, New England Revolution in MLS, or concerts. However, soccer fans who attended the exhibition match between France and Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Foxoboro on Thursday saw the price increased by 50 per cent, up to $30 per-person, without any options of concessions. The purchase regulations stated that children under 11 would need to possess a valid ticket. Yet even the prices charged on Thursday are set to more than double during the World Cup this summer, while they will be almost four times the usual prices asked of NFL and MLS fans. I had an exchange with Matt Goodwin about claims he has introduced errors into his new book about immigration after using AI. He addressed some of them but not others. I thought the most crucial thing was the English as an Additional Language (EAL) stat, which is fundamental to some of his claims. thetimes.com/article/ecc036…

@Will_Quant @markysellers @whippletom You're inventing "real issues". You're positing that integration is not possible "where culturally British people are a minority?", yet this is an opinion, not something that is measurable. People live in the wider culture even if their local culture skews towards something else.

@markysellers @whippletom I'd much rather people such as yourself concentrated on the real issues here. To what extent is integration possible where culturally British people are a minority? How much of Britain is now like this? What are the future implications? This is all important stuff!

There's not a doubt in my mind Jack Smith would've put Trump in prison where he belongs. We now know Trump stole classified documents that pertained to his business interests. In a scathing letter to Pam Bondi, Rep. Jamie Raskin wrote: "These new disclosures suggest that Donald Trump stole documents so sensitive that only six people in the entire U.S. government had access to them, that the documents President Trump stole pertained to his business interests. This glimpse into the trove of evidence behind the coverup reveals a President of the United States who may have sold out our national security to enrich himself."

Common sense from Hollywood! Rest assured Keanu that you are fully supported and backed by the vast majority. You are on the right side of history! Time to revert to making real, gritty and authentic film and TV. People will look back at this woke era and realise how psychologically brainwashed, weak and controlled they were! The tables are not just turning, they’re being flipped! 💪🏼👊🏼
