@timelesschild I'm really glad someone is finally saying this. When you look at other rtd shows where he had sole control it's some of the best writing that's existed. People are jumping to conclusions saying rtd ruined doctor who when there were external factors

You don't have to love RTD2 to recognise how many factors were outside RTD's control. RTD had an original plan. But a series of circumstances outside his control forced him to pivot repeatedly. Looking at RTD2 without that context misses a huge part of the story. A thread....🧵

@set_dw I've discovered recently that Under the Lake (2015) has no location filming. So wouldn't that be the first only studio episode?

The last time Russell wrote a 5 part drama. It was Torchwood: Children of Earth. The sea devils alone aren’t exactly thrilling I agree but the cast alone brings huge drama potential.

@BadWolfArchives Way overhyped. It’s fine but people consider it the best episode of doctor who and a great jumping in point. It has the same premise as love and monsters yet people despise that one. Given more credit than it deserves in my opinion

@DimensionsInJen As someone who loves the master, I think that is a really interesting idea. I’ve always been fascinated with the 18 months storyline that the master went from arriving to becoming prime minister. Also the spy master spent almost 80 years on earth that story needs to be told

@ChrisChapman81 All the season 8 docs were amazing. Particularly devils weekend. I do have to say my favourite is our Sarah Jane and looking for David. Our Sarah Jane is a piece of work I cannot sit through without crying. It is beautifully done and can Watch it again and again.

Question. If Doctor Who was started to release in 4K UHD on Blu-Ray. Would you buy it or still keep to standard Blu-Ray in Full HD? I’d love to see the upgrade to 4K finally take place in terms of physical media. But I’m not sure if the demand is there.
