@csbaker @MikeCosper While Vance could’ve answered more clearly, I believe most Americans are more focused on key issues like the economy and border security. Many can feel the tangible difference between Trump’s administration and what we’re experiencing now under Harris.

@DanielFoster07 @MikeCosper And just for clarity: Walz isn’t the reason election denial is an issue in 2024. Donald Trump is the reason election denial is an issue. Every time Donald Trump says he won the election, he makes election denial an issue.

Vance won this one easily. He disarmed Walz at the top of the night by being gentlemanly and respectful — ie a pre-Trump era conservative who cares about manners, and nothing like the MAGAbro he played on podcasts for the last few years. Walz had comically bad moments, no good answer on his Hong Kong lie, and false answers on late term abortion. But the moderators come out looking worst. They couldn’t resist a fact check on Vance, and he took over the event to correct them. Their scripted lines about “many topics to cover” sounded fine when they first said them and silly the 9th. And they failed to raise some of the issues that really distinguish these two. Nothing on Ukraine? One question on Israel? 8 mins on climate change? Nothing on 2020 riots?

Can I just step back for a second and say that it is RIDICULOUS that we live in a "democracy" where Kamala Harris is going to clearly, overwhelmingly, win the popular vote... and yet that doesn't matter in the slightest and everybody just blithely accepts that it doesn't matter.
