I'm quoting from JD Salinger (Catcher in the Rye) -- who I believe had in mind narrative autobiographical statements like "I was born at such & such time and such & such place. I attended such & such school and underwent such & such experiences," etc. The narrator of the Salinger novella dismisses all of that as (I suppose) conventional & phony or perhaps hopelessly extrinsic & boring.

@Urgefiktet @broztitute Both are nice but I really prefer the top version where the rectangle is interpreted as negative space rather than this one where it is the bar itself. This bar is generic whereas the other feels much more intimate and the separating wall gives a sense of division of the space
