Some of my strongest memories are walking through the turnstiles at White Hart Lane with my dad.
For many of us, Spurs isn’t just a club - it’s belonging, identity, family.
To turn this around, we must remember what this club means: to N17 and beyond👇🏿

@vivjones10 @AlasdairGold He stands out for his pace, but as a defender he's mediocre. His national team plays De Ligt, Ake, even Timber ahead of him at CB. Just don't think he's an £80m player. If someone offers that kind of money, take it and refresh, improve - as Poch wanted... standard.co.uk/sport/football…

@DanielGeeHerald @AlasdairGold Are you mad? Micky is an incredible player, with much more to come. Spurs must keep him. Frank needs to ensure he stays a Spurs player.

Thomas Frank was asked about Micky van de Ven's contract situation. football.london/tottenham-hots…

@SpursOfficial Endless whining that he's a ghost when he plays, then elevated to god-level when we sell him. Spurs fans are hilarious. Not good enough, move on...

We have reached agreement with Crystal Palace for the transfer of Brennan Johnson.
The 24-year-old Wales international's name will forever be etched into our history as the winning goalscorer in last season's UEFA Europa League Final, his close-range effort proving to be the only goal of the game as we defeated Manchester United in Bilbao.
We thank Brennan for his contribution and wish him well for the future.

@TheSpursExpress Yeah great motivation for the kid to leave the club. Frank is retarded. I want frank dead nothing less
English

@AlasdairGold @AlasdairGold I know there's nothing you can do but it's SO hard to read articles on Reach sites - look at the state of this...

Here's every word Thomas Frank just said with positive injury news on two Spurs players including Dominic Solanke, some good stuff on Archie Gray and his future at Tottenham, his friendship with Sean Dyche, how he's spent his last two days off and more. football.london/tottenham-hots…

@TottenhamTiers We've got better options already - sell and reinvest, give more minutes to Odobert and Tel

@fullback03 Gray started the first game of the season didn't he?

Anyone else scrolling @elonmusk's feed for the first time in a while tonight? 😆👀

@jstorey1006 Signalling fault, or a track failure (@SW_Help couldn't decide which, or are they the same thing?) between Farnham and Alton. Leaving a couple of dozen passengers stuck at Farnham at 9.30pm on a Friday. A 22:52 rail replacement eventually rocked up and left 5 mins early 🙄
English

Over the years we have had a horse on the line, bees invade a signal box, wrong kind of snow, leaves, too hot rails too cold rails lost driver/guard broken signals broken down train in front people on the rail track to name but a few.
@DanielGeeHerald what’s the latest story?

One skill I've really honed since starting a new job in London is filling in @SW_Help Delay Repay forms... Our trains really are pants aren't they... 😩

@Jason Or maybe very few sources are willing to put forward the truth in writing, and create a lasting record they cannot later deny? Speaking 'on background' or 'off the record' is beneficial for both parties. It gets to the heart of what is actually happening, and protects reputations
English

Here is the oldest trick in the journalism playbook: refusing to ask questions on email or get back written, thoughtful responses.
They want to talk “on background” in person or on the phone. When they do this they build trust in order to get you to spill the beans on your friends, colleagues and industry.
They can take five of these background calls, write “notes” that they show to their editors as “proof.”
They can then craft whatever story they want with disclaimer you read that say: “three folks who preferred to be off the record for fear of BLANK said BLANK.”
I know this trick, because when I was in journalism it was explicitly explained to me by former Nytimes, WSJ and magazine reporters.
If you want to protect yourself simply say to them “I’m happy to answer questions over email and off the record.”
Ask yourself, why do journalists refuse to take answers over email? These would be the most accurate wouldn’t they? Isn’t the job to be as accurate as possible? 🤔
Also, journalists will try and “warm you up” by asking you flattering questions before they ask the hard ones.
They will then leave out all the fluffy questions — even 99% of your total words — to simply get the one “off the cuff” response you give them at the end.
Again, I know this from my time as a journalist when these techniques were used to TRAIN US in how to get information.
Never speak to a journalist on the phone or in person. Never.
Always conduct your interviews by email if at all.

@TheSpursExpress He's been out best performer, full stop. Whatever position he plays in. Most valuable player ATM. Spurs look a different team with him in it...
English

@emmastorey81 Was it not the case that he ran towards the corner then realised the away fans were at the other end? Reaction was subdued because he was confronted by a corner of home fans...?
English

Absolutely breaks my heart that he had absolutely no desire to celebrate. What some sections of our fan base have put him through is despicable 💔 #COYS
Ariel Helwani@arielhelwani
The Brennan Johnson apology tour is going to be marvelous.
English

This devalues the efforts of countless tenacious, deeply knowledgeable and responsible journalists in the national and regional press doing far more to hold power to account than trending hashtags can. Print is dying, but our democracy is worse off for it. It's a tragedy.

Carol Vorderman, "Instead of newspaper reviews.. I will post something and it will get 1, 2, 3 million views.. And there are subjects trending" "Why aren't we doing an item on what's trending on social media?" "That's as powerful, if not more so, than another daily mail page talking about Angela Rayner"
