Mr. Rhoads, It's not my picture although there was a story in 2021 when PSU shut down Milo Yiannopoulos, Alex Stein and Gavin McInnes. My son text me and sent some pictures of the fights over this, and was just floored that students could disrupt and stop peaceful speeches. Kirk wasn't shut down until 2024 (long after my son left). I thought that picture (on the left) was published of that first speech shutdown at Penn State (but you might be right). The picture on the right is my son at FSU during a "peaceful" turning point usa event. There were rallies from both sides of the political isle but he said no one infringed on the other side. The other analysis of Penn State vs. Florida State with mandates, both vaccines, covid testing, and masking, is all true. Florida State students were free. And yes some students and faculty wore masks but it was 10%. At Penn State (like the rest of Pennsylvania) it was 100%. If folks aren't convinced that the government and institutions overstepped their moral and legal authority in mandating testing, masks, and vaccines during the "pandemic" than they might need to re-read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Maybe read the Federalist Papers as well. 🖖

Toby, Some did. My son transferred after his first semester at Penn State to Florida State because PSU was literally part of the tyranny state. He had to get tested weekly and they had a three strikes rule if you didn’t get your test each week. Three strikes and you’re suspended. He was on strike two at finals. So he tells me “I’m going to FSU” and had less than a two week break during Christmas because of the end of Penn State semester and the start of the next semester at Florida State. How did he pull off that transfer without a full year: he was accepted at both, he told FSU he was deferring a year. He attended PSU only to satisfy my romantic need because I went to Penn State). He called FSU and said he wanted to start in the Spring semester. The rest is history. Magna Cum Laude - proud of his execution. So he gets to Florida State and maybe 1 out of 15 people are wearing a mask, and there no issues with people protesting, etc. At Penn State: - 100% masks - Karen screams at him when he enters a building without a mask (he put me on speaker phone once so I could hear it for myself) - weekly covid swab testing - they stopped Charlie Kirk from speaking At FSU: - no mandates and no masks - students held rallies on both sides of the political isle. I have been teaching self defense for over 20 years. I’m highly trained in Krav Maga, which I’d argue has the best defensive techniques against armed assault of any style. Taking down a knife wielding assailant is EXTREMELY difficult and dangerous. You will get cut, bad, even in the best of scenarios. This is not the movies. A knife is a deadly weapon and he was attacking to kill. Shoot the guy.
