Just wrapped call w/ founder who wanted me to invest in his D2C business. I gave him different advice and a potential solution that's way cheaper (at bottom) Business owns him, not vice versa. 2025A: $17M rev, negative EBIT 2026F: $30M rev, <5% EBIT Key stats: - 21 day production lead times - Terms: 30% deposit, 20% on delivery, rest NET 30 - CM2 70% - High-cost debt (20%+ APR) - 120+ SKUs, no sell-through or per-SKU interest allocation - Factory solid (>30 mo relationship), unbeatable COGS-quality - Shipped from China to the consumer globally Recommendation: - Give factory 10% equity - Switch to consignment + EOD Friday payments for sold goods to remove cashflow constraints - Visit factory quarterly (4×/yr) I also shared how to prep 7 slides for supplier meeting. @DanielMoldawsky that was drop off rate (70% of people click away) if it's above that generally it's quite tough for it to work However, at scale there can also be a ton more bots (increases drop off) but the pool of people completing the quiz is still high enough for it to work

If you’re in the 50-60% range that’s really good first questions You want to aim for it not to be above 70% drop off first question We generally see if the quiz is congruent they’re super stick, so can be only an additional 10% drop off from Q1 - completion (Aiming for a 20-30% completion rate) With a super strong CVR of that group

Most founders fail because they expect clarity too early We did $80M last year The year before that? $25M In year one? We barely cracked $1M And we had no idea what we were doing Your first year isn’t about hitting a number 
 It’s about learning faster than everyone else Your website will be ugly Your product page will be ugly Your decisions will be wrong That’s normal We started with one product Five years later, we have 3,000 SKUs colors That didn’t come from forecasting It came from failing fast, pivoting quickly, and never stopping When something finally clicks, you don’t hesitate You double down Then you triple down That’s how growth actually compounds

We just ran post-purchase for True Classic. 📈+48% profit per visitor. Same traffic. Same customers. If you've bought from them in the last 4 months, you touched our funnels. And yeah… you probably helped fund that performance lift. Here's what most of you get wrong: At multi-8 & 9 figures, the game isn't more revenue. It's more profit per customer interaction. Most brands are still obsessing over RPV. Meanwhile the ones actually printing are going all-in on PPV (profit per visit). You don't need more traffic. You need to squeeze more cash from the traffic you already have. ✅ Same traffic ✅ Same customers ✅ Way more cash captured And post-purchase is the lowest hanging fruit nobody's picking. You don't have a revenue problem. You have a profit problem. If you're running a $10M–$100M+ DTC brand and your post-purchase is still a "nice to have"… You're leaving millions on the table.
