@WhyNotArtDump Same reason remasters and DLC sell, sometimes people want an incremental improvement to a known quantity. I can imagine GTA6 will likely be an extremely large improvement too. 5 is still one of the most played games 70-120k depending on the month. (On steam alone)

What's up with people hyping GTA 6 like it's the second coming of Christ? I mean, I enjoyed the previous games but they boil down to an open world with very basic core gameplay where you just drive around and shoot sometimes, despite having a ton of cool micro mechanics.

個人的に開発中のアプリ 参考資料の一部をgifで保存し、それらを一覧化して見れるビューアー 以前から改良して 各gifにキーワードを複数設定できるようにし、[倒れる][攻撃][リグ]などで絞り込める機能を実装。 更に、gifは厳選した数秒だけ再生されるので、内容が気になれば[参照元]の動画に飛べる。

@kiaran_ritchie Whole heartedly agree! Root motion movement is fantastic for fidelity but its also not the best for design iteration imo. Would be nice if it was easy to extract the movement nuances and adjustment blend at runtime to allow for more adjustability from design.

You should follow Industria 2 because... look at it. But also: This is your daily reminder that non-linear step frequency and movement speed is a huge underrated boost to animation fidelity. Real creatures don't smoothly glide around like an Unreal capsule; they lurch, bump and flail as they try to maintain balance.

Can someone recommend me a good alternative to Logitech MX Master 3S? I love the ergonomics, but hate the materials. No idea what they are making it from, but they somehow dissolve after quite short amount of time.

@Chownas Oh yes, functionality-wise it works. The problem appears when you solve them and someone else on your team is not getting the latest. And then references a deleted redirector. And all hell breaks loose.

I see people debating languages, libraries, standards, and so on. But in the end, they’re all just tools. Sure, it’s worth spending a bit of brainpower on the right choice, but the real focus should be on producing exceptional results. Less talking, more work is a good motto.

Every game before release seemingly has some sort of cosmic die roll happen in the background. Everything you do before release is you just trying to weigh the die in your favour, but even weighted die can and occasionally do nat 1.

@jabrils_ High risk, high reward. Square, Ubi, WB, Bethesda, Sony. Games are too expensive to make and take too long to make. Like launching a space shuttle at a far away moving target. By the time you reach the initial estimate, it will have moved so money is spent to correct en route.
