Realistically, every party leader had to be in agreement otherwise they would’ve lost their party the next election 🤷‍♂️ It was a manufactured response and a bid to try discredit Trump especially with ongoing tensions around the world. Paint him to be this awful person who disrespected the Brits. Trump knows the UK would be there for the U.S. no matter what and he certainly wasn’t discrediting them. He should’ve clarified at the time but he was referring to other NATO allies.
