@Dustin0308 @ItsTheEnforcer When you say something publicly in the face of the adversary without him pushing back, is that called propaganda?

Great thread. When Xi came to power, I really thought it might be an irreversible shift favoring the US. Xi's background is very interesting, and his ties to Iowa and younger days are strong. He was seen as quite pragmatic at the time by many in the US, and the hope was he would open China more, not less. But numerous power struggles behind the scenes have happened, and it's almost like he's had no choice but to sharpen his criticisms of the west and increase China's belligerence in their neighborhood to keep things from spinning out of control. Their debt problem is no laughing matter, and all in, it makes the US debt look like a joke. There are hardliners who will never be satisfied unless they can pursue Chinese glory at all cost, and Taiwan is the prize jewel there. But China is not a rising dragon. It is a house of cards. And the palace intrigue continues. I think Xi and Trump understand each other. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next 2.5 years.

🧵 Xi Jinping just invoked the Thucydides Trap with Trump. Most assume this is a threat. But what if Xi is signaling something else — that he recognizes China is now in a weakened position against the United States and thus needs to avoid a war? The historical record and current realities both suggest he has reason to worry. Thread 🧵

@RodDMartin Is that why the first thing Xi did was to warn of a clash or conflict with the US if the US mishandles the Taiwan situation directly in the face of Trump because China believes it's in weakened position? You're terrible at reading diplomatic languages & making realistic analysis.

Clash Report
Clash Report@clashreport·
Reporter: Would the US defend Taiwan if it came to it? Trump: I don't want to say that. I'm not going to say that. That question was asked to me today by President Xi. I said, “I don't talk about those.” Reporter: He asked you if you would send troops? Trump: He asked me if I'd defend them. I said, “I don't talk about that.”

@fgrfc1889 @joyscript8 @AmitWorldPeace @clashreport Yet the international community officially recognizes Palestine via the 2 states solution, but not Taiwan which can't even use that name or their flag in international events. They used "Chinese Taipei" at the Olympics and couldn't even fly their flag.

@MueraNyathi @Geniusbrain8 @MaryRoseMalomo Fact to debunk this lie pushed by feminists desperately looking for anything, just anything to cope for their ineptitude: Hedy lamarr DIDN'T CREATE Wi-Fi. In fact both Hedy (an actress) and George Antheil created Frequency Hopping during WW2. WiFi doesn't use Frequency Hopping

@DaveThipe @MarioNawfal His information is false. You really think a single ship can over a quarter of Ghana's energy? 480 MW is actually less than 1/10th of Ghana's energy production

🇹🇷🇬🇭 A single Turkish ship anchored off Ghana's coast generates over a quarter of the country's electricity. The MV Karadeniz Powership Osman Khan is 299 meters long and pumps out up to 480 MW of power. It has been doing this since 2017. No power plant to build. No years of construction delays. Karpowership, the Turkish private company behind it, has quietly turned this model into a global business, deploying floating plants to countries with chronic energy deficits across Africa and beyond. Africa has an infrastructure gap that traditional investment has failed to close for decades. Turkey found a way to monetize that gap with engineering.
