Top Tip for Conservative MPs: donning a Barbour and smiling for the camera at the rally tomorrow, will not absolve you of guilt for betraying British farmers over the last 5 years, chucking them under the bus in trade deals and slashing farm payments. Apologise or don’t turn up.

Apart from the fact it was a vague question Apart from the fact even HMG’s own QC said in court it was in effect illegal Apart from the fact that millions were disenfranchised, often the most affected Apart from the fact it was sold on a bogus prospectus 1/

The vaccine he is referring to is the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine - sponsored by EU funds, developed in the EU (a Turkish company, BioNTech, in Germany), trialled in the EU, then shipped from the EU to the UK. The EMA started assessing that vaccine before the MHRA did (and held more data), but the MHRA decided to make a call on its safety before the EMA. They made that call on Dec 2nd 2020 (see link below). At that date, the UK was still in the Single Market for Medicines, so the emergency approval happened under EU law, as stated by the Head of the MHRA (June Raine) at the time. Upon approval, the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine was immediately available to the UK, because the EU had allowed for this availability worldwide. This was unlike the AstraZenica vaccine that shortly followed, where the EU had booked millions of doses, but the UK had done a later contract with AZ ensuring they could not ship out of the UK without UK govt permission - which they withheld for the EU. Therefore, Brexit was not a factor in the UK speed of the vaccine approval - which all happened under EU law. gov.uk/government/new…

Labour needs to learn that nothing they do besides handing No 10 to Farage (or a Tory cosplaying as Farage) will satisfy the press. The issue is that Labour is in power. Appeasement is futile. Implement reform, or they’ll continue to be the people that are really in control.

I now want to look in more detail at Jenrick's nasty propaganda video. It starts with a few examples of cases to make people angry. But those examples are in fact irrelevant to the case he is trying to make. Jenrick has been an Immigration minister. He must know that the main problem with illegal or irregular migration is that when a person comes here and claims asylum, they may get it as a bona fide refugee in which case they can stay. That has nothing to do with the ECHR. It is a consequence of our domestic law and the Refugee Convention. He makes no suggestion we should leave it. For those whose application is refused the main problem is that it is very difficult to return them to their countries of origin which will often not co-operate particularly if documents have been destroyed. So leaving the ECHR will have minimal impact on the problem he claims to be addressing.

The problem Labour has — and maybe to some extent Kamala Harris — is that after all the years of populism, la la land politics and lies, there’s a large demographic out there that can no longer handle the truth.

Throwback to 2005 Nigel Farage, "Your only real achievement is that Britain is now isolated, alienated, we are completely alone within the European Union" Tony Blair, "You sit with our countries flag, you do not represent our countries interest" "This is the year 2005.. Not 1945.. We're not fighting each other any more.. These are our partners.. They're our colleagues and our future is in Europe" "When you and your colleagues say what do we get with what we contribute.. We get a Europe that is unified after years of dictatorship in the east.. We get economic development in countries who we have championed.. We get a future reform that allows us once and for all to put an end to discussions about rebates, common agricultural policy, and get a proper reform budget for Europe" "That's what we get if we have the vision to sieze that opportunity" It's now 2024 and Nigel Farage and Brexit have alienated the UK in Europe. Brexit has caused enormous damage across almost every industry, ruining lives, hopes and dreams Each year we remain outside the EU Single Market the UK loses £40 billion in tax revenue that could fund our services and pay for things our country needs If we want services and for things to work, the UK can't afford to be isolated and alienated outside of Europe

The Brexit conundrum on food checks continues. While the hard right moan endlessly about immigration (which we need), our borders are incapable of stepping up to the Brexit plate and so are hard pressed family budgets. Since Brexit happened, we lost control of our ability to export/import, costing us more and leaving us exposed to inflation, biosecurity risks and food shortages - all of which damages businesses and the economy. inews.co.uk/news/politics/…

“The EU’s approach to Britain and Brexit needs fixing”…….it’s very simple: Britain needs to rejoin the single market asap and fully rejoin as an EU member when the politics allow for it. That’s it, everything else is just talking around the issue.

If you desecrate Muslim graves, teach your kids to shout P*kis out, rip women's hijabs off, brick mosques, loot shops, try to kill refugees, assault police officers you don't get to play victim and talk about 'legitimate grievances' and 'two-tier policing' You are racist thugs.

Spare me the big boohoo about the cost of immigration when you're out there on the streets burning down libraries and police stations and flooding the courts and costing the tax payers more money than any immigrant you've ever met.

Bigots who’ve built entire careers inciting precisely the evil we’re witnessing did not ‘warn’ of it. The only honest ‘warnings’ came from people who explained what would happen if we kept giving racist liars newspaper columns, TV & radio slots & season tickets for Question Time.

@Keir_Starmer Why not simply publish the 2017 MI6 report to May - you know, the one which told her that “Russian interference and money” had rendered the UK EU Referendum vote “ not free and fair “ so that she should run the vote again, but “without Russian interference “ .

Brexit reality: We imposed trade barriers on ourselves. We removed ourselves from the top table of power in Europe. We removed OUR freedom of movement. We did Putin's work in weakening western power. We wasted billions upon billions on an ideology doomed to fail. #RejoinEU

Can I just remind everyone that the reason @David_Cameron promised and called a Brexit referendum was just to stop Nigel Farage's Party from splitting the Tory vote. And 1 bitter referendum, 5 PM's & a failed Brexit later, Nigel Farage still split the Tory vote. Was it worth it?
