My June electricity bill is £26.16 take the standing charge out of that and I paid less than £10 for actual electricity use.... Pretty impressive considering we run 2 EVs also.

@Dannyspeed165 Not far behind, I’ve got 7 panels on ground mounts. 5x longi 535w and 2 JA 460w (the two at the bottom showing lower output). Having to run AC all day to prevent dumping to grid

8x 440w flat roof solar currently producing 3.02kwh out of a maximum 3.520kwh That's around 86% of it's maximum rating.

It looks like I need to get the bonnet resprayed on my Tesla due to 4 bird shits getting baked onto the bonnet. I've tried heat, paint correction, t cut, machine buffing it aint budging. Wet and dry might be next, but it looks like it completely burnt through the lacquer.

@Drewsnews22 I always do. I normally just use a cordless jet wash to blast it off. I was away in the campervan few days and the car was on the drive for the weekend.

@Dannyspeed165 Always wash birdshit off asap but be careful, it can contain grit. Soak under a wet cloth to soften then rinse off.

@Dannyspeed165 Had something similar happen on the M25 last week - thought it was bird shit, but it was so sticky I couldn’t get it off the windscreen. Soaked what was on the bonnet but it left the same pattern as you have. Very weird 🤔

@deepanshu_s Birds droppings ect will deplet that coating all by itself especially when it gets baked on. I'm not too worried about a mild soap to clean the panels. I suppose time will tell.

@Dannyspeed165 Manufactures very specifically mention not to use soap as that depletes the protective coating, just use water and brush

@Clampy007 Without doubt. Got 22kwh yesterday after cleaning them, which I believe is the most I've had in a day.

@Dannyspeed165 Yep. Brush makes such a difference v just hosing them. We saw about +8-10% after doing ours!

@Dannyspeed165 What's you're baseline usage ie when nothing is really on, other than fridge, freezer etc vs daytime / peak? For me baseline is around 270W, and avg daytime and evening about 800 - 900w, as I work from home

6:45am and already my flat roof solar panels setup is producing more power than the house is using. ☀️
