@TheCharlesDowns @1NCRDB1 @JaxsonDart 1/ you’re so fucking stupid
2/ Carter didn’t say there was anything wrong with anyone’s religion yet here you are bashing him for his
English

During the NFL draft, Abdul Carter (@1NCRDB1) wore an Islamic political chain while his family showed up in full burqas.
Funny how Abdul loves shoving his religion and politics down America’s throat but melts down when his teammate Jackson Dart (@JaxsonDart) attends a Trump rally.
The left are such hypocrites.
English

@1NCRDB1 Please both do your best to ignore the hate tweets, most fans are cool and just happy to have young talented players representing their team on the field

PR wise: I would have never in a million years advised an athlete to do this. No matter who was in office.
Rightly or wrongly. Given today’s political climate you just need to appear and stay neutral in the public eye.
It’s too volatile otherwise and it’s a good way to create division, invite distractions, tank your brand and potential endorsements for yourself or the franchise.
Avoid putting a target on your back at all costs. 🎯
Unfortunately the right to express yourself gets throttled when you’re a public figure.
That’s just the reality of things whether we like it or not.
Everything you do or don’t do needs to be handled like a business decision.
Welcome to the fishbowl kids. Keep your heads above water and watch who you swim with 🐠
English

@geneclemons Legit read the comments of anyone blasting Carter and I guarantee you you’ll get to Muslim hate within 5 replies on every single one, then let them tell you it isn’t about race or religion.
English

Lawrence Tynes is completely tone deaf right here. He's doing what he claims Carter is doing except Carter has every right to be dumbfounded by the actions he addressed. This is not something he saw in the lockerroom and brought to the public, this was done for the world to see.
Lawrence Tynes@lt4kicks
The locker room is a sacred place because it brings together everyone from all walks of life and beliefs for one common goal. Calling a teammate out publicly for his political views and to get attention is nasty work.
English

@CarmineSabia Hey question, if Dart introduced Mamdani at an event would you be cool with that? I have my thoughts but I’d love to hear confirmation
English

Abdul Carter is an example of how fragile liberals are.
They are not liberal at all.
They cannot handle the fact that not everyone agrees with them.
Preme Football@premefootball
Abdul Carter called out teammate Jaxson Dart after Dart introduced Donald Trump at a rally in New York. “Thought this sh!t was AI, what we doing man?” Fans were immediately divided over Carter’s response, with one user replying: “You lame asf calling out your QB on social media when you got his contact.” Dart’s appearance at the rally has already divided fans online, and now has seemingly divided the Giants locker room too.
English

@OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor Look, peace and love to you but Trump hasn’t reprimanded republican congressmen for saying things like Muslims are lower than dogs so I don’t think it’s a stretch to see why Carter might be a little miffed his Qb and I’m sure friend was there
English

@DantesADEdmond @JEluemunor Once again. You are making this out of thin air. Go seek anger management. Carter has every right. No one said that. BUT pick up the phone and call DART and talk. DONT TWEET TO THE WORLD, CALL DART AND SPEAK PRIVATELY!!
English

@NikkiNic9384 Thank you for, in this post, holding both of them to the same standard
English

Once again people are missing my point 🙄
It’s about the Giants and their endless PR issues.
I’m looking at this from the PR & media side of things.
PR 101 - never give the media and the public an opportunity to start the fire, add fuel to the fire or take an optic and run with it.
Dart announces Trump. Carter who based on his post seemingly has an issue with that. So he takes it to social media.
Fire was started by Dart & fuel was added to it by Carter. Public takes it & runs with it.
Now its a wildfire 🔥
Can they both say and do whatever they want? Yes.
Do they both need a better understanding of how their actions impact public perception? Yes.
Giants Communications team does provide training on PR and social media and they will use consultants too.
Obviously athletes also have their own PR team. I have no idea who’s advising these guys.
I know what I would advise as a PR professional whose job it is navigate sensitive issues like this.
I really don’t know how I can explain this anymore clearly. My take is through the lens of PR. Not a fan or a political pundit.
I try to break these things down so you guys can see the different angles.
Just look at this through the PR lens.
Sidenote: You might be surprised to learn that there are a lot of pro athletes and high profile individuals who do not align with your political views.
English

@CoachMcCartan @ABall1989 Honestly really appreciate this response from you
English

@ABall1989 You’re right… this division could become a real problem for this team….. unfortunately.
English

@robbo_gman I know you won’t agree but the sleeping never affected white Mormon kids, the Republican Party on the other hand atm has been literally saying things like “If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one”

@AMSharkTheAgent @NikkiNic9384 There isn’t a white person with work done on their face that doesn’t think that tbf
English

@carterdot007 @OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor When was it football. It started at politics haha the guy was at a presidential speech not a football game, you may be the retard if you somehow didn’t realise that
English

@DantesADEdmond @OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor This went from football to skin color? What a ride… You’re a fucking retard, Dante.
English

@BigJonesEnergy @Connor__Malloy @lt4kicks Also btw I think the fanbase and locker room that get alienated are silly as well. We are completely so over tribal about politics atm
English

@BigJonesEnergy @Connor__Malloy @lt4kicks I completely agree, I think it was just as silly as alienating part of a fanbase and a locker room. I couldn’t care less where people sit politically I’m just weirded out by how people see it as such a clear difference between what they did when I see it as ill advised from both
English

@OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor You’ve proven my original point, you aren’t upset with the fact he tweeted you’re upset he dislikes a republican president, thanks and have a good day
English

@DantesADEdmond @JEluemunor I can 100% guarantee when Abdul Carter gets his first real pay day and his tax advisor tells him the amount of money he has to pay in taxes out of his salary, he will be voting Republican the rest of his life. True story
English

@OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor What does that have to do with what I’ve asked
English

@OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor Please don’t be dim enough to say he wouldn’t know it would be divisive, and please don’t deny a QB is meant to more than any other position make sure the team is united, rightly or wrongly that’s the role. IMO Carter is completely ok to tweet if Dart is ok to do that
English

@OceanWave0324 @JEluemunor Ok let’s try again, more, less or just as controversial as Carters tweet
Accepting an invitation to introduce maybe the most controversial presidents ever despite knowing people in the locker room will be strongly against it and you’re a 2nd year QB who is meant to be a leader
English
