@CvmKoldhearted @zackkoeck_ @_SaturnOW_ Not true even in the slightest. Hitscan is significantly more punishing than genji and pharah imo. Maybe I’m just biased because I mostly play tracer but I find genji and pharah so much easier to win on than hitscan.

I truly believe that hitscan is the most powercrept role in the game and flex dps players need to put in 2x more effort to get the same value

@zackkoeck_ @CvmKoldhearted @_SaturnOW_ Yeah genji is bad rn. He was thanos and extremely broken and easy in low ranks all the way up to gm until he got nerfed a while back.

@DaokoFPS @CvmKoldhearted @_SaturnOW_ Since we're talking about pickrates and you mentioned Genji in GM specifically, he is tied with Cassidy for having the 2nd lowest win rate in GM at 46.5% but has just half of Cassidy's pickrate lmao.

@BugBeforeLight @zackkoeck_ @_SaturnOW_ Idk haven’t played in 2 months so I’m not sure what the meta is rn but for the past year, outside of ashe, flex dps has been much easier to pull off in ranked than hitscan. Hitscan just is thanos in pro play, not ranked. Your kiriko just won’t heal you and you can’t play the game

@DaokoFPS @zackkoeck_ @_SaturnOW_ i'm not too big on statistics either but when you look at gm stats on pc in america and filter by winrate you get soldier on top. tracer not too far behind in percentage with an even higher pick rate. you cannot look at these stats in isolation.

@PersonaG14 @LookAtMyMeat1 Well it isn't true for overwatch, blizzard has never once balanced for the pro scene. Also look how massive of a success the 5 new heroes launched into a pro tournament was. Overwatch should be doing more stuff like that with their pro scene.

@vawkser @noirst4rs Genji is fine here if played right but I do agree the matchup can be a pain point. That’s also a huge reason why I hate seeing scoreboard screenshots. The scoreboard never tells the entire story.

@Alice3DS High guard had so many eyes on it because of the negativity. Hundreds of thousands of people tried it and hated it… It wasn’t a matter of people being scared to try new things. The game just sucked.
