One of the residents tells officials that they must place him in a new home with water and electricity and pay him and his family members R50 000 each if they want to relocate them.
He says his former employee left the property to him 40 years ago.

The Johannesburg High Court has ordered that the residents are removed and relocated by the city. The department says the area is not habitable, it is not suitable for humans to settle into.
