A cold front will transition rain over to snow tonight into Monday. The accumulating snow in addition to gusty northwest winds will result in blowing snow which will make travel hazardous due to very low visibilities and snow covered roads. #ILwx #INwx

Residents are reporting storm damage company reps going door-to-door without a required City of Darien solicitor's permit. Legitimate solicitors must display their permit visibly on their clothing at all times. 📞 Call 9-1-1 to report any unlicensed solicitor(s) to DPD.

Darien PD and multiple fire departments responded to a reported house fire in the area of High Road and Plainfield Road. The fire department has advised that the fire has been extinguished, and emergency vehicles are now clearing the scene.

At 12:32 pm DPD responded to the 600 blk of Chestnut for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the area and are actively investigating the incident. At this time, the matter appears to be an isolated incident and poses no threat to the community.

The Darien Police are aware of the student walk out from Hinsdale South High School and are monitoring their activites.
