Human Events@HumanEvents

.@DarinSelnick tells @JackPosobiec that President Trump will make a split-second decision on Iran aimed at minimizing US troop involvement: Trump will authorize the appropriate force needed to get the appropriate outcome.

President Trump delivered the greatest State of the Union address of my lifetime. But one thing was missing: A call to action for Congress to pass the Veterans' ACCESS Act and Veterans' Bill of Rights.

NO TAX DOLLARS FOR TERRORISTS Our government sends $40M a week to Afghanistan. Substantial portions of this money goes to the Taliban. We fund the same scumbags that killed my friends. Thank you @TimSheehyMT and @timburchett for fighting to defund this atrocity via the No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act.
Tim Burchett@timburchett

Defund the Taliban bill is up today. $40 million of your money goes to the Taliban every week. Let’s end it. Call your Senators!

TRUMP, MILLER-MEEKS, AND NUNN DELIVER FOR IOWA VETERANS President Trump visits Clive, Iowa today ahead of the 2026 midterms. Approximately 1,800 Iowa National Guard Soldiers are currently deployed. We recently lost two Iowans who were ambushed in Syria. Trump has endorsed two veteran champions for Congress: Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn. They face two of the most competitive House races in the country. Miller-Meeks won her 2020 race in eastern Iowa by only 6 votes. They both support the Veterans' ACCESS Act, which protects Trump's signature veteran policy victory: The MISSION Act. They believe veterans earned the right to choose their own healthcare provider. @VeteranAction will remind Iowans that President Trump, @millermeeks, and @ZachNunn continue to deliver for veterans.

Veteran Action Applauds @MarshaBlackburn for Introducing Veterans' Bill of Rights Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has introduced the Veterans' Bill of Rights, landmark legislation designed to codify fundamental protections for America’s veterans and hold the Department of Veterans Affairs accountable to those it serves. The legislation comes amid growing concerns over systemic failures within the VA system during the Biden administration. Recent tragedies, including two veteran suicides at a single VA hospital in Texas, underscore the urgent need for reform. For too long, veterans have faced denial and delays when seeking the care and benefits they rightfully earned through their service. “Our veterans fulfilled their duty to America. Now America must fulfill its duty to them,” said @MarkLucasUSA , Founder & President of Veteran Action. “Senator Blackburn has proven herself to be a true champion for America's veterans. The Veterans' Bill of Rights ensures that every veteran receives the respect, dignity, and care they have earned.” The Veterans' Bill of Rights establishes ten fundamental protections: 1. Access to VA or VA-Authorized Providers — The right to receive health care from the VA or, when eligible under federal law, from community providers authorized by the Department 2. Respect and Dignity — The right to be treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity in all interactions with VA personnel 3. Informed Consent — The right to receive clear, complete information about treatment options and to provide informed consent for care 4. Awareness of Benefits — The right to receive comprehensive, understandable information about benefits, programs, and services for which the veteran may be eligible 5. Access to Benefits — The right to apply for benefits at any time and to receive clear explanations regarding eligibility determinations 6. Health Care Without Retaliation — The right to seek care or raise concerns without fear of stigma, retaliation, or adverse action from the Department 7. Privacy — The right to the protection of personal information and medical records consistent with federal law 8. Right to Grievance Redress — The right to file complaints and to receive timely, thorough investigation and resolution of those complaints 9. Transparent Communication — The right to clear written notification regarding the status of claims, benefits, and appeals 10. Appeal and Fair Hearing — The right to appeal adverse decisions and to receive fair hearings within a reasonable time The concept of protecting Americans from federal agency overreach has strong precedent. The IRS maintains a Taxpayer Bill of Rights, President Franklin Roosevelt signed the G.I. Bill of Rights after World War II, and states like Massachusetts have enacted their own Veterans' Bill of Rights. It's time for Congress to establish the same protections for our nation's veterans. Veteran Action is calling on both chambers of Congress to pass this legislation without delay and for President Trump to sign it into law. ### About Veteran Action: Veteran Action is a smash-mouth political organization advocating for America First policies that strengthen national security and provide unwavering support for our veterans.

President Trump, Secretary Rubio and Secretary Hegseth did a great job on Venezuela. Shows what a focus on lethality instead of DEI can do for you. Today the USA and Venezuela are much better off for the leadership and action of President Trump!!!

The democrats need to stop this nonsense. Encouraging our troops to disobey military orders is un-American, dangerous to national security and emboldens our enemies. Democrat military veterans in Congress tell troops to defy unlawful orders | Fox News foxnews.com/politics/democ…

From my time in DoW I agree with Dan Caldwell that this reform is needed.
Dan Caldwell 🇺🇸@dandcaldwell

This effort by @SecWar @USWPColby and others could be transformative and effectively model how to burden-shift to capable allies in a way that frees up U.S. resources while also enhancing mutually-beneficial partnerships that helps the U.S. close capability gaps (shipbuilding!).

This story is misleading: the Joint Staff making their own assessment of munitions stockpiles is not the same as the Pentagon "giving the green light" to provide Tomahawks to Ukraine. The Joint Staff is a planning body that does not make operational or policy decisions and do not speak for the Pentagon as a whole. Only SecWar makes the final policy recommendation to POTUS after consulting other stakeholders in addition to the Joint Staff - including potentially DoW policy, acquisitions/sustainment, COCOMs, and potentially the services. It is entirely possible SecWar ultimately told POTUS that DoW stockpiles of Tomahawks were sufficient but this story from CNN doesn't state that - they instead try to frame a standalone Joint Staff assessment as representing the entire Pentagon's official policy position. In addition, from my own personal experience, the Joint Staff was routinely out of step with other parts of the DoW on the issue of munition stockpiles.
CNN NationalSecurity@NatSecCNN

The Pentagon has given the White House the green light to provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles after assessing that it would not impact US stockpiles, leaving the final decision in Trump’s hands, sources tell @NatashaBertrand & @ZcohenCNN cnn.com/2025/10/31/pol…
