@SorchaEastwood Have you checked the background to this. I expect that it is likely a temporary fix until the correct paving can be procured, probably coming from China. I would say that the photo sums up ‘claim culture’ more than anything

Photo sums up why cutting corners & outsourcing doesn't always get the best results. This illustrates the public services approach to just about everything.

@naomi_long Thanks for responding. I think that there is no way on earth the Alliance party would have used a Pride flag or Palestinian flag (for example) in a post like this that would leave them open to misinterpretation.

@southstandsays @allianceparty @OfficialBlues Yeah, it relates to a post about respecting legitimate cultural expression. We've said it's about celebration not demarcation. I think that covers it? However, if it's being interpreted otherwise, happy to address that.

Dear @naomi_long You’re the size of 200 pallets. I’m not certain you are one to preach about respecting yourself. You are siding with rapists against your own kind. ❤️ Katie

The whole Casement Park story has been a fiasco from start to finish. Not enough is being done to grow our games. We can't live in the past. Belfast is a blind spot on this island for GAA despite having do many clubs. Politicians have let us down. Promises have been broken.

@moneillsf What about those, like myself living very close to where it’s located, do our concerns ever get listened to? Or do we as residents not matter?

Casement Park is an absolute priority, and it will be built. Despite obstruction and delay, real progress has been made in recent months, with diggers and workers now on site as the redevelopment moves forward. We must continue to build on that momentum. This project will be a game-changer in creating jobs, driving investment, and delivering lasting benefits for communities across Belfast, Antrim, and Ulster. I will continue working in partnership with the GAA every step of the way to deliver a top-class stadium that meets the needs of Gaels in Antrim and across Ulster.
