The rule is clear. If a batter moves at all to obstruct the throw from the catcher, then the runner is out. But if the batter is in the batters box and makes no movement, then the catcher must avoid the batter. In this case, the batters head and body never move and he is in the batters box. So runner is safe.

@BosniaNTBall Ya it’s absolutely ridiculous wanted to watch a World Cup game my whole life just for it to finally come to Canada and can’t go because I would have to remortgage my house to afford a ticket.

It would be justice. These nations qualified with less or same points than Italy with 18 points : South Korea 16 Uzbekistan 17 Jordan 13 Australia 13 Saudi Arabia 10 Qatar 10 Panama 12 Curaçao 10 Haiti 9 South Africa 18 Cape Verde 18 France 18 Netherlands 18 Belgium 18 Croatia 17 Switzerland 17 Austria 16 Scotland 17 Sweden 2 Turkey 18 Czech Republic 17 Bosnia & Herzegovina 16

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 You can say that bigger populations have more people interested in sports sure 25% of Toronto could be in love with soccer that’s still close to 2 million people 500k bigger than Calgary or Edmonton. Those cities just support sports better. Only people from Toronto don’t agree.

@Daryn27 @PaulUTD37 That’s not how attendance works. You can say that about OHL teams. They have less population so they have better attendance. Also like I have said soccer is like a #4 or #5 sport in the GTA. When it comes to away fans this isn’t redneck Alberta where there’s no multiculturalism

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 So your saying a multicultural city is worse than a non multicultural city by that logic cause the non multicultural city which Edmonton is by the way but for your argument isn’t supports soccer more than Toronto. Again not helping your point soccer is like 10th in Edmonton.

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 Per person they do when you factor how big of a each city is stats don’t lie. Toronto can’t sell out a 30k stadium that’s embarrassing. Every game Canada plays home fans are outnumbered by away fans. Never have I seen a manager beg fans to show up in Canadian colours only there.

@Daryn27 @PaulUTD37 Montreal and Vancouver don’t have better attendance. Edmonton has better attendance because they haven’t had a match in 4 1/2 years

@Pacaveli10 @theoldzealand The rankings don’t tell you the best team in the world mate. Again you get points based on who you play and as I keep saying teams play harder opposition than others so it’s effectively useless. The USA are ranked 15th, that tells you they don’t work

Complaints about ‘micronations’ making the World Cup are crazy btw Haiti has over 12 million people Uzbekistan over 30 mill DR Congo over 100 mill And more A huge group of people who are finally represented, who earned it - if you cant get behind that, sport just ain’t for you

@Stanrayy13 @theoldzealand There is representation for all Continents there always has been. The issue is adding more spots and then watering down the talent pool by giving objectively poorer areas more spots.

From @TheAthleticFC: Hearts have been broken, but finally we know the identity of all 48 teams that will be at the 2026 World Cup. We ranked the teams from No. 1 to 48. Here's who is most likely to win it all in New Jersey on July 19. nyti.ms/4bXqNHd

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 Based on this per 1000 people they sell Toronto- 4.1 tickets Vancouver- 9.51 tickets Montreal- 4.55 tickets Edmonton- 34.3 tickets It’s really not even close Toronto is the worst Montreal better and so on. No argument can be made with numbers like that.

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 Man I’m literally arguing the point that Toronto shouldn’t get all the games I’ve already conceded that? I’m saying when other cities get games they have better attendance if Toronto sold out every game and it’s a small stadium no complaints but they don’t. That’s my point.

@Daryn27 @PaulUTD37 Those first two matches in Toronto were limited because of Covid as well. Also you still haven’t accepted that Toronto gets majority of Canadas matches. The Jays, Leafs, Raptors etc are in Town. Edmonton barely gets any matches which helps with attendance when they do get a match

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 Let’s compare World Cup qualification attendance then Toronto 14822 14926 26622 29122 Hamilton 12,000 holds 24000 but half capacity due to COVID restrictions. Edmonton 44212 48806 Again your only comeback is I said July not June again Edmonton looking to be sold out in June.

@Daryn27 @PaulUTD37 Dude you’re embarrassing yourself at this point. The friendly in Edmonton is in June before the WC not in the middle of it. Also those two matches back in 2021 were WC Qualifier matches not Friendlies

@Alen684680 @b3lmln Ya and all respect to Bosnia as well I wanted them to beat Italy just because of the Italian arrogance. And no I think besides Qatar, one of Bosnia, Canada, or Switzerland can win the group to me it’s up in the air 100%.

@KickRocksGLG @PaulUTD37 It’s March and the game is in July it says only 3,300 tickets roughly available meaning they already estimate over 52k tickets sold man do some research. And they hosted 2 games in November 21 getting 44k and 49k fan turnout in -20C blizzard weather. Again not helping your point.
