These are some really good question, and "who is this Erik Wendel guy?" is a really fair question when standing next to someone as famous as Björn😂 To begin with - I am certainly not here for my fame, nor my CS knowledge. I've made my career in esports to be good at organization, structure, and people skills. "Organization and structure" of course being the boring stuff that most people in esports don't want to think about, but is needed to run a team, or any department for that matter. What one might not think about, if you are only following NIP for CS, is that we have a lot of different games we compete in. I am responsible for the NIP esports department (in EU/Brazil) as a whole, but I couldn't possibly run this by my own, that's why I have a lot of great people in my team that are better than me in their expert areas. For example @TroelsRobl being responsible for everything performance related, or @bobcsgo running our RL & R6 team in Brazil, or as of today @THREAT_CS running our CS division. This means I am giving Björn the responsibility of running the CS teams, which means he makes the calls on what we do, and he is responsible for the results of the teams. Of course, like in any good team, Björn will work with his colleagues, coach and players to discuss and work together to make the best decisions. But you do not need worry about me making strategic CS decisions, that is not my job at all, and I have full trust in Björn doing that. We are happy to answer more questions like the ones Wilfred asked, we aim to be as transparent and open as possible when it comes to how we run esports at NIP.

Even if we pay a “low” salary, say $300 a week. 5 players and coach, that’s $93,600 a year. If your team wins both LPL seasons, that’s $28,000 and the players will want a cut of that too. Say the org takes $10,000 of the prize money, they still lose $83,600 per year.
