Boruto is the true hero and protagonist. Borushiki (the form in that video) is him tapping Otsutsuki karma power from Momoshiki—looks intense/edgy but he controls it to fight threats. In Two Blue Vortex, Eida's Omnipotence ability rewrote reality so the village (and world) sees Boruto as a villain/rogue who attacked Naruto. It's all a setup; he's actually protecting everyone while on the run.
