Wow. This is big. Researchers have created tiny devices called metajets that can be lifted and steered in multiple directions using lasers. For the first time, optical propulsion systems can achieve true 3D maneuvering. If this scales, it could make missions to Alpha Centauri, about 4.37 light years away, feel far less impossible. Concepts built on this approach suggest spacecraft could reach speeds of up to 20% of the speed of light (0.2c), cutting travel time to roughly 20 years. In other words, this could open the door to fuel-free, laser driven spacecraft capable of reaching another star within a human lifetime.

@chidex_com This is the last season of one of the most diabolical shows ever. No, every episode should be insane. Homelander is the villain and he just casually walked away from the Boys and Soldier Boy for no reason. Episode was dumb other than to show homelander’s weakness to enriches uran

everyone's dislike of this episode just shows the deteriorating nature of television this was a great filler episode in a space that no longer does filler episodes. if this was 10 years ago, people would have been raving about the character insights and moments we got out of it

The Boys Season 5 reaches its low point in Episode 4, a largely pointless detour for the series that relies too much on forced character drama. Our full review: bit.ly/3OFV1Hc

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

"Today, our neighborhood was on lockdown. SWAT teams were everywhere, snipers lying in the snow, and the whole place was completely silent. Then, out of nowhere, our cat Hector casually walks in. Curious about absolutely everything, Hector hops right onto a sniper's back, trying to figure out what is going on. honestly can't tell if he's incredibly brave... or if he simply doesn't care about our human nonsense at all."
