I'm not good with names, so when I was invited I assumed it was an escape room. It was a dark room. If I'd known I probably wouldn't have worn my geekiest clothes. That said, I had an excellent time. Sometimes accidents are happy accidents.

It's glaringly obvious that the bra industry would be able to serve more sizes more easily by adding more points of adjustability to the bras - strap placement, cup spacing, and included back extenders. Why they don't dare try it is one of life's greatest mysteries.

@anon_opin Glass is surely one of the easiest things to clean due to its smooth impermiable nature. What would be easier and as hard wearing and suitable for the wet/steamy environment?

Why do we all accept that shower screens should be glass? They're a pig to clean and everybody wants privacy in the shower anyway.

I don't understand why people are so hard on Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Just because George and Ringo hated working on it doesn't mean it's crap. It's an absolute belter of a tune. If some other band had done it, it'd be in their greatest hits.

Society depends on volunteers more than it realises, yet very few people are prepared to give up a few hours of doomscrolling or Netflix to keep services going. Do more. Volunteer your time. It's worth it.

@anon_opin The vast majority of companies offer occupational maternity pay schemes, typically 6 months full pay.

Maternity pay in the UK is insultingly low. It's no wonder the birth rate is declining so much. I don't know why this isn't more of a national scandal.

On Question Time tonight, Zack Polanski was introduced as someone who "wants to tax the rich and legalise hard drugs." Zia Yusuf was introduced as: "a self-made millionaire who swapped business for politics."

It seems like behind every bad government decision there lurks a Cummings or McSweeney. None of us voted for these advisors and strategists, yet they are given so much control over the country. Get fucking rid.

Bank holidays would be much better if they were on Fridays. That way you could look forward to them all week rather than play catch up after missing the first day of the week

The correct orientation of a set of semi-detached houses is front doors and porches together in the middle. This will usually mean internal living spaces are separated and corridors/stairs use the shared wall -therefore decreasing unwanted noise from next door.

Anybody paying full price for netflix is wasting their money. Netflix ad tier rarely actually gives you any ads, you can watch entire movies with nothing at all.

@anon_opin Actually a big part of our brains is fat already - myelin cells are fat that supports neurons and carries messages across neurons more quickly

It's too easy to put weight on and genetics should have evolved to redress this. I'm no scientist, but perhaps creating a new organ to turn fat into brain matter? Maybe create a new junction in the digestive tract so fat can be fast tracked to the bowel? Just a couple of ideas.

The Matrix was I think released 26 years ago and is one of the most famous films of the last 50 years. Until today I thought Keanu Reeves' character was called Neil. In my defence, I only saw it the once, but it's still pretty embarrassing.

Satnavs need a "half the journey" option. Set it when you're driving home and it'll get you out of the strange location you've never been to but, once you're back to familiar territory such as your home town, will bugger off.
