@Creati0exnihil0 Exactly. It’s the ‘’purchasing’’ parenthood thing for me. It’s very selfish to only look at it from the side of let Me be a parent, even though the desire to parent is innate in most of us, it should be controlled like most of our instinctive human/animalistic desires and needs.

@Daughter_Tribe I wonder what limit we will agree on regarding surrogacy. Adoption carries a lengthy process, whereas surrogacy seems to just require money and consent based on my limited understanding. Personally, I think it is wrong to commodify children or "purchase" parenthood.

Had a discussion the other day that left me with questions. Is hiring a surrogate mother the commodification of a woman’s body? Or perhaps even the commodification of children?

@Daughter_Tribe Infertility is definitely a painful experience. Going off of that, I wonder, is it OK for me as an unmarried male to decide I want the experience of fatherhood, purchase the services required (a surrogate) and then raise this child based on that desire?
