#Ravens GM Eric DeCosta told @MikeSilver that at No. 14 he believed he had a trade in place that would’ve kept Baltimore in the teens while adding extra 4th-round picks in each of the next two drafts, but once on the clock, the other team unexpectedly backed out and altered the terms, leading the Ravens to pass on the deal. This does NOT seem like a signing that should be taken lightly. In 45 games played (28 starting at Center), he only gave up 4 sacks and 12 pressures, and was considered the leader of the OL unit as a senior and two time Captain. He was also awarded Penn States Public Service Award in 2023, The Wuerffel Award in 2024 for outstanding community service and academic achievement, The 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Captain and started his own foundation in 2022, The Dawkins Family Foundation, which promotes education in the youth through workshops and charitable events while also offering multiple scholarships to high school seniors. He’s the son of the late great NBA Legend Darryl Dawkins with a family tree that consists of names like Dion Dawkins, Brian Dawkins, and Karl-Anthony Towns who are all cousins of his. So definitely an athletic family background, which is obvious when looking at his RAS (Relative Athletic Score) of 9.77. Overall seems like a solid player, with a leadership mindset and on top of that shows great character through his community service efforts. Excited to see him get to work on and off the field 💜🖤
