@rowmaps @wiltscouncil Yep. I asked them to add PROW data to their portal last month. For a council they were very helpful. Useful are the filtering options to d/l specific data: ?where=LYR_NAME='Footpath'&outFields=REF,LYR_NAME BathNES, S_Glos, Somerset & Bristol all have similar APIs

It is fine outside schools and on quiet residential streets, but it is not appropriate for main urban routes. Speed limits should be set with the conditions of the road in mind if you are going to expect people to obey them.

@DaveF63 Pedestrians should be using the pavements; the roads are for motor vehicles. People widely ignore unreasonable speed limits that are not set with actual conditions of the road in mind. It is not a me problem.

A reminder that when your local council calls something a 'trial' or a 'pilot', the intention from the start was to make it permanent.

@cosmograf @guidoacasa @markchristie No. We don't have direct democracies in the UK. I've found that, quite often, those who want to be asked, didn't bother voting. Local wards had ~33% turnout.
