@SecretS0ffender @courtsnewsIRL A quarter of a century ago.
It’s perfectly just. The fear those murderers feel in their final moments before their worthless lives are ended is true justice.
English

@DaveSEire @courtsnewsIRL It was put to a referendum and the abolish the death penalty won comfortably.
And the state executing anyone is unjust. The only just reason to kill someone is self-defence or defence of others who are in immediate danger.

Jozef’s Puska's appeal against his conviction for the murder of schoolteacher Ashling Murphy has been further delayed after he decided to change his barristers less than a week before the hearing was due to begin.
Puska, who told detectives that he stopped working in 2017 after slipping a disk in his back, has been granted legal aid for his appeal on the same basis as his representation during his trial - where he was allocated a solicitor, a senior counsel and two junior counsel.
The Court of Appeal has been told that Ms Murphy’s family are “anxious” to see the case proceed.

@diversity999x Another dragged up from birth piece of filth that shouldn’t be in the country in the first place.

A 20-year-old man from Preston has been charged with two counts of rape after a woman was allegedly raped at Preston Bus Station.
Abisalom Tesfai, of Wildman Street, Preston, was arrested following the incident which happened in the early hours of Saturday 18 April 2026, between 5.30am and 6.30am.
Police were called at 6.46am and the male toilets at the bus station were cordoned off during the investigation.
Tesfai has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court.
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact them on 101, quoting log 284 of 18 April.

@SecretS0ffender @courtsnewsIRL What’s unjust about a state executing murderers?
If it was put to a referendum, the pro-death penalty side would win by landslide.
English

@DaveSEire @courtsnewsIRL How many societies that actually have the death penalty typically execute people within three years, without any right to appeal?
The “just society” you’re describing doesn’t sound very just and only exists in your imagination.

@Chilly_Willy66 Good for them. No hate from working class Dublin. People like them are welcome any time 🇺🇸🍻🇮🇪

@LesnaDusza2 @JackPosobiec @KevinPosobiec It’s Irish liberal looons who have barely any public support who are spreading this narrative.
Listen not to them but the people…..
Beware the risen Irish people……..
The Rising is in their midst…..
See what happened last time. Our weasel-cuck govt is no problem!
English

@DaveSEire @JackPosobiec @KevinPosobiec That's nice, because I see a lot of hatred directed towards them, though I do understand that the diaspora can be annoying and have a stereotypical view of Irish culture
English

@LesnaDusza2 @JackPosobiec @KevinPosobiec Brothers & sisters.
The Irish diaspora did a lot for the Irish cause of independence throughout the centuries.
English

@NotAvgLiberal You went to all of these beautiful cities and Trump was at the forefront of your mind.
That’s sad.
English

Today we’re leaving Europe.
We visited Rome, Trastevere, Vatican City, Venice, Barcelona and Madrid.
Not a single MAGA hat.
Not a single Trump t shirt.
Not on any tourist,
Not in any shop.
Not a single cop or law enforcement officer wearing a mask,
Not a single law enforcement officer beating the shit out of anyone, for any reason.
Europeans make it perfectly clear.
They don’t like or approve of Trump.
I’m going to miss it here.

@IrishTimes Maria Steen might’ve done that. 23% in the polls. Establishment Ireland just couldn’t give her a chance to run.
Well done 🥱
English

“[The Department of Foreign Affairs] would have much preferred the first [visit abroad by Catherine Connolly] be to the UK and state head-to-state head type visit,” said a Government source. irishtimes.com/politics/2026/…
English

@IrishTimes The lib makes a comment then blocks 🥱
Anyway she was on 22% with an 15% unsure.
What we got instead was the lowest number of candidates in a Presidential election in 52 years and 45% turnout.

English

@IrishTimes Establishment Ireland deliberately kept Maria Steen (on 23% in the polls) off the ballot. They wanted this 🥱
English

Multiple sources told The Irish Times that there is unease both among civil servants in the Department of Foreign Affairs and other departments, and at political level, over the choice for her first overseas trip.

@Chorlton78 @JohnMar90718642 @BBCNewsNI It was very limited when you consider all the crimes against the native Irish the Protestant settlers had committed over the centuries.
English

@JohnMar90718642 @BBCNewsNI Its very easy to check the facts as they are well documented. Protestants were murdered and driven from their homes by the catholic population instigated in some way by the church.
English

One of the most significant demographic shifts in the early years of the Irish Free State was the drop in the country's Protestant population, papers from a 100-year-old census have revealed.

Her name was Ebba Åkerlund, an 11-year-old Swedish girl.
Stockholm, April 7, 2017, the islamic immigrant Rakhmat Akilov, an asylum seeker, wanted to “avenge the bombings on his Muslim brothers by ISIS.”
In a pedestrian zone, he drove a stolen truck straight into the crowd, intending to kill as many “infidels” as possible. Survivors and witnesses said the truck was deliberately zigzagging to run over children.
In addition to Ebba, four other people were killed:
- Lena Berglund, 69 years old;
- Marie Kide, 66 years old;
- Maïlys Dereymaeker, 31 years old;
- Chris Bevington, (UK) 41 years old.
15 people survived the massacre, nine of them with serious injuries.
Police also found a homemade explosive inside the truck, the coward couldn’t manage to detonate it among the crowd.
He was sentenced to life in prison.
Along with the attacker, three other muslims linked to him were arrested.

@1Nicdar @murica_yeeyee Just FYI this mentality cost the South the civil war too. The gangs in California alone would take out the southern states
English

@JakeFitzsimons Would he tell a person of migrant background in Ireland not to call themselves Irish-Nigerian etc?
We all know the answer to that.
Irish Americans have done more to help the country than anyone right back to before the foundation of the state.
English

This is a toxic mentality in my opinion.
Telling diaspora they're not Irish is just as bad as telling last month's arrivals from Sierra Leone that they are.
I embrace and encourage all of our Irish-Americans.

family guy brian@doubledub48
@JakeFitzsimons diaspora my arse,we don't need that septic yank culture here, whilst they scream about illegal immigration they actually cause a lot of it, they are as much german, english, french diaspora as irish, What's the obsession with hyphenating their identity, why not accept they are 🇺🇸
English

@WallStreetMav I’m 35 and from Dublin.
In the year 2000 Dublin was 95%+ Irish.
Today I feel like a foreigner in my own city.
