This happens at grassroots football all the time and it’s no surprise that it has now happened at a higher level. Footballers, managers, pundits, commentators and fans need to remember these people are human beings who make genuine mistakes. #respect #norefnogame

@British_Airways you cancelled our flight last night due to “operational constraints” and today you’ve said it due to “adverse weather conditions”. A cynic might say you’re tying to avoid having to pay compensation. How comes every other flight is operating?

When did you last see a referee thrown him/her self to the floor to con somebody or a feign an injury. If a player misses a penalty are your expecting them to be dropped?

@twuntastical @ESPNUK But why was VVD fined £100k in addition to the match bans. Same should be applied to referees not just dropped for a game or 2.

Virgil van Dijk has been suspended for an extra game and fined £100,000 for using 'abusive and insulting' language towards the referee after his red card vs. Newcastle.
