@liliaCe43901737 @gpoblano3 @techteach_csub This is a great idea. I had a couple students last year that I opened up my classroom for an hour right after school since they didn’t have tech at home. Allowing the parents to come would benefit all parties.

@techteach_csub Having instances where I had students not having access at home had given me ideas that I had seen at other districts. Allowing students to rent the technology would help bridge that gap between home and school regarding tech. #techquestportfolio13

@MatPrasser @techteach_csub I agree, it is just as important as classroom procedures and practices for in the class. Especially if we plan to use it often.

@techteach_csub Because I plan on using public forums for discussion I will teach the importance of digital citizenship from the first day like many of my classmates have mentioned. #techquestportfolio12

@techteach_csub Digital citizenship is very important when using public tools and technology, hence why I plan to implement and model good practices upfront just as I would regarding classroom procedures. #techquestportfolio12

@nbaughman3 @techteach_csub Awesome idea. The students are in class and get a lesson but the parents are often left to reteach themselves while trying to help with homework. This tool will allow them to get refreshed on the material and help their kids when needed.

@techteach_csub Khan Academy is an amazing site. I would use this as a tool to help develop mastery of content. This site would also be very useful for parent usage--parents would be able to learn the content and help their child if needed. #techquestportfolio11

@techteach_csub Khan academy is extremely powerful in a math class. I started using it last year as it gives students the opportunity to revisit a video lesson and practice the concept right after. My favorite part was that it can be assigned through google classroom. #techquestportfolio11

@BrookieeBell @MatPrasser @techteach_csub Yes I am also excited to incorporate more that google classroom has to offer into my classes this year. I have come to notice I missed out on a lot of opportunities it had last year!

@techteach_csub There’s a clear importance in starting with the fundamentals as the understanding of basics are key in developing our understanding of all the other aspects to google apps. For this reason I shall start there! It’s awesome that everyone’s on the same page. #techquestportfolio10

@LeiranCarla @techteach_csub Most definitely! Along with being able to revisit the information again at a later time. This is vital for many math concepts that can be easily forgotten.

@techteach_csub I feel that the prezi was extremely beneficial since it creates a very engaging presentation. I also feel that the YouTube videos are also powerful since they allow students to revisit the lesson/concept of interest. #techquestportfolio9

@NatalyC62336926 @techteach_csub Getting another visual aspect to historical events; sounds like a great teacher. I think it opens a lot of opportunities for better understanding of where events took place and how it may have played a part in routes taken.

@techteach_csub Google maps can help students have a sense of where places are. I had a teacher in a history class make us look to coordinates to follow the places where events happened. It help a lot understanding what was happening #techquestportfolio8

@techteach_csub In my math class it will allow students to explore a topical view and get a better sense of distance/ratios. It will also give opportunities to bring the outside world as well as more relateable topics when tailoring problems to incorporate nearby places. #techquestportfolio8

@mikgonzalez11 @HeatherHook4 @techteach_csub Most definitely! I had a few students that would attemp the problems during class and do great but by the time they got home after everything they would try again and say they would be stuck. It was then that I would share videos through google classroom and saw much improvement.

@HeatherHook4 @techteach_csub This is a great idea especially for math. Students have a hard time with math sometimes and go home to do their homework and get stuck. This teacher seems awesome! Walking students through every question is so helpful and the students can pause the video whenever. Great idea!

@techteach_csub Videos would allow the students who only need the lesson once to freely move on to the practice yet also allow the students who need a repeated lesson or more modeling to access this lesson again. This along with many other possibilities make them appealing. #techquestportfolio7

@Katrina13889719 @techteach_csub Most definitely, not only does it allow the students to build confidence from the compliments but it will also allow them to become more comfortable with criticism because they realize there is room to grow but at the same time they did great at a portion of it.

@David15Lary @techteach_csub Since you have used this in the classroom I am hoping you could give feedback to its effectiveness. Did you believe that this combination of constructive criticism and compliments from peers is an effective method for improvement among students? #techquest6

@mredeker3 @techteach_csub Awesome idea! Students have trouble taking notes and it can only get better through modeling and practice. To let them have peer evaluation will achieve both a low stress assessment as well as modeling from others!

@techteach_csub I made a Cornell Note Check Rubric to be used by students to grade a peer's notes. I basically made a rubric and included a name spot for both the peer grader and the student being evaluated. Hope that works! #techquestportfolio6

@techteach_csub I think google slides is beneficial since it’s got the basics but also allows for collaboration. It doesn’t have all the perks as ppt, but being able to collaborate with ease makes it powerful.I even had my students use it on a group project last year! #techquestportfolio5
