@xgonzalez24 Hey! sorry for just seeing this now. I have not sent in my final portfolio yet. One of our classmates reached out to the professor and she said we are required to pay for the Livetext subscription, unfortunately. Hope that helps!

@techteach_csub Bridging the gap requires awareness that all students do not have equal access to technology. With that in mind having teaching tech nights available quarterly at school could help bridge the gap. Along with weekly open tech labs for students.

@techteach_csub Schools can help bridge the technology gap by giving students access to technology outside of class time such as before school, during lunch and after school. Schools can also give parents info on tech resources such as libraries that offer computer access. #techquestportfolio13

@techteach_csub I completed the Google Apps for Education Module about Digital Citizenship for students. One of the methods they recommended was to host student panels that discuss cyber-bullying. I think peer discussions would be beneficial. #techquestportfolio12

@techteach_csub I'm amazed at how much material Khan covers. I think I would use it to supplement a lesson by extending topics. For example if I were teaching about the history of gambling I might have an extra credit assignment where they learn about statistics#techquestportfolio11

@techteach_csub You could use Khan Academy to help support instruction and to give parents a resource for helping to understand what their students might need help with. They also have test prep resources for the PSAT and SAT which is nice for high schoolers. #techquestportfolio11

@MatPrasser @BrookieeBell @techteach_csub I would benefit from the devices training for Google Chromebooks since they're used in the school I'm at. When students ask for help using Chromebooks, I often get a classmate to help since I'm not comfortable with them and get frustrated by the difference from Windows.

@techteach_csub I started by completing the First Day of Google Classroom training videos since I haven't had as much hands-on experience using Classroom as some of the other Apps. I am interested in completing modules from the Fundamentals Unit next. #techquestportfolio10

@HeatherHook4 @techteach_csub I think ClassDojo could be really useful for parent communication. I love how it has translation options for parents if needed. I'm curious to know if any secondary level teachers have used this app. It seems very geared towards elementary students. #techquestportfolio9

@techteach_csub There are so many to choose from. I loved playing around with iMovie. Great for students to make history related movie trailers. Also ClassDojo messages to parents will be useful #techquestportfolio9

@techteach_csub So far, I think Google Forms and Google Slides are the tasks that I would utilize the most in my future classroom. Google Forms would be great for data collection and Slides would be useful for posting class info. I love how straightforward both app's are! #techquestportfolio9

@EdithCa82800945 @techteach_csub I really like the idea of giving students an actual peek into what the areas they're learning about look like currently. This would be neat to contrast these current images with what that area looked like during the period of history they are studying. #techquestportfolio8

@techteach_csub Google earth can be used to virtually show students around the world. Google earth takes you any where in the world you want to go. Students can get a visual of a place they are learning about. Could be a great tool when teaching social studies. #techquestportfolio8

@techteach_csub You could use google maps in the classroom to allow virtual tours of college campuses for students to expose them to different types of campuses and to hopefully spark their interest in attending. #techquestportfolio8

@mikgonzalez11 @techteach_csub Exactly! Also, I could see this being a valuable resource for students who are absent from the lesson. Instead of missing all instruction, they could have video supplementation with their notes to help catch them up. #techquestportfolio7

@techteach_csub Educational videos could be helpful for students especially if teachers allows students access to them at home. Teachers can record their lessons or them doing an assignment and it could help the students refresh their minds and get through the assignment #techquestportfolio7

@techteach_csub By creating educational videos for students, teachers can provide instruction that is more accessible for certain students (visual/auditory learners; students needing more time to process; EL students who could access translations, etc.) #techquestportfolio7

@EdithCa82800945 @techteach_csub I really like that you made a general one that can be used for different assignments. What a great idea! Mine was pretty specific, so I'm going to make another one that I could use for multiple assignments.

@techteach_csub The rubric I created was a general one that can be used for different assignments and can be used for peer evaluation since it is based on completion off assignment on time, grammatical errors, and the general organization of the assignment. #techquestportfolio6

@techteach_csub I made a Cornell Note Check Rubric to be used by students to grade a peer's notes. I basically made a rubric and included a name spot for both the peer grader and the student being evaluated. Hope that works! #techquestportfolio6

@mredeker3 @techteach_csub Same here! I used to always use powerpoint... google slides is way easier! I think students would agree too. I had my 3rd grade class use Google slides for an animal report presentation, most grasped it easily!
