@neil_brownsword @Prof_IeuanEllis The quality of the regeneration in Jingdezhen is impressive, alongside high quality exhibition facilities and positive support for current businesses, provision of studio facilities, and the maintenance of historic sites (e.g. Song dynasty sites in the Ceramic Valley) -it works.

@Rainmaker1973 Wearing UV blocking spectacles in sunny weather, can produce white curcles around human eyes, which give the appearance of a dusty leaf monkey.

@adad8m Early calculators weren't that good, but were better than slide rules - early computers, likewise. This is probably a similar transition. 'Better' AI is needed, not just better training sets - with people and planet well-considered.

@thenitinsawhney They seemed to be objecting to Van Gogh's use of oil paint. Oil paint uses Linseed Oil - nothing to do with petrochemicals.

To those saying throwing soup at a Van Gogh was ok because it did no actual damage to the painting… First, consider how much it alienated many people from a cause we should ALL care about… Then, ask yourself what precedent it sets in attacking great art if it IS effective.
