Over 70 Cybercabs in the Giga Texas outbound lot today in three major areas & driving around! I think this is now the largest single gathering of Cybercabs I’ve observed! I’m also trying to gauge if the $59K @Cybertruck production is underway & although there are more in the outbound lot in several different locations, it is really hard to tell. Honestly, I would like to see a lot more coming out of the factory if we will begin seeing deliveries beginning next month, if that is still the plan, but for now the production rate still seems a bit modest. I know they are working hard to ramp up at the same time they are also trying to ramp up Cybercab production.

Who did @Tesla call to ensure their Cortex 1 & Cortex 2 AI Data Centers stay cool while training FSD & Optimus?
Of course, it's @Interna79273986 and check out this massive business cart on top of part 2 of the Cortex 2 cooling system tower! Good to see and recreates a similar sight a few years ago on the original cooling tower on the south end of the main factory!
Overall Cortex 2 is coming along quickly!

Now that @Tesla has publicly announced the final Cybercab in bright, glossy gold and that production SOP (Start or Production) has happened, here are some views of several at Giga Texas today in the outbound lot.
As you can visually see, these are very noticeably different from the wrapped engineering versions. These look so good out in the sun for the first time!

@JOBhakdi @TeslaBoomerMama I bought some at $339 about 3 weeks ago. So it was lower and it can go lower, especially if this is mainly a spending and ramo up year. 2027 might be epic. It could shoot to $400 any day though and even $500 by June.

Tesla's Robotaxi is preparing to reach ~50% of US Population
Tesla is hiring for the role of Data Collection Supervisor, Self-Driving (and previously for roles called AI Safety Operator) in many cities across the country.
These cities cover about 50% of the US population (depending on whether you look at MSAs or CSAs).
This table also shows the new cities (in green) where they've begun hiring.
This helps to explain where all the Cybercab engineering test vehicles that @JoeTegtmeyer is seeing every day are going!
Note: MSA ("Metropolitan Statistical Area") is a city's footprint while CSA ("Combined Statistical Area") reflects a network of metros acting as one regional economic system.

Happy 8 April (Wednesday) at Giga Texas, especially for those wanting an update on Cybercabs … I saw about 60 of them in two groups in the outbound lot today … the largest grouping yet!
Also, looks like at least some of these have white seats and most still have clearly visible steering wheels … I will let you conclude what you wish from that, but these still do not look like the final “production” versions, so perhaps they are testing out some of the new features while testing some of the @robotaxi areas around the country.

all indicate that things are about to get real.

The upcoming Android Robotaxi app is a strong signal. The Android version was not missing due to the development effort required. It would have been easy for a company like Tesla to get this done. Releasing only an iOS version was an artificial way for Tesla to limit the user base and throttle demand to match the small number of vehicles in service. The Android app release signals that Tesla is about to scale up massively.

@JoeTegtmeyer So it's safe to say that since the first production cybercab in mid february, there have been more than 100 cybercabs produced in less than a month?

At least 16 (inventory was changing through the morning) more Cybercabs lined up for transport off site and these are more of the testing versions with the wrap that we have been seeing all over the country, including in Washington DC yesterday.
Hard to know the exact number of Cybercabs that have been transported offsite, but easily well over 100 so far. Check out these fresh views … less than 3 weeks to the stated official start of production!
