This post from @POTUS is thoroughly despicable, totally predictable...and utterly authentic.

Robert Mueller was an American hero, whose distinguished service to our country spanned a lifetime. Marine officer and decorated combat veteran; revered prosecutor and arguably the greatest FBI director in history. A model of integrity. RIP nytimes.com/2026/03/21/us/… via @NYTimes

The CBS radio network played a remarkable role in our history & the evolution of broadcast journalism. It produced some of the most iconic reporting & spawned many of the greatest broadcast journalists of the 20th century. The legacy is enormous. Its shuttering, a jarring crosswords.
Brian Stelter@brianstelter

A second memo from Bari Weiss and Tom Cibrowski says CBS News Radio is shutting down. Here's the memo: Today, we informed our CBS News Radio team and approximately 700 affiliated stations that we will end the service on May 22, 2026. Unfortunately, this decision means that all positions within the CBS News Radio team are being eliminated.  We understand how difficult this news is for our staff and their colleagues, who have worked side by side with us to cover some of the most significant stories of our time. While this was a necessary decision, it was not an easy one.  A shift in radio station programming strategies, coupled with challenging economic realities, has made it impossible to continue the service.  We are sharing this announcement now to fulfill our commitments to our radio partners and affiliates, which require advance notice of the service’s conclusion. For nearly 100 years, CBS News Radio has delivered original reporting to the nation—from Edward R. Murrow’s World War II reports in London to today’s daily White House updates.  Our signature broadcast, “World News Roundup,” remains the longest-running newscast in the country.  CBS News Radio served as the foundation for everything we have built since 1927. The coming weeks will be difficult for the team members who have worked tirelessly at CBS News Radio.  We are committed to supporting these valued colleagues with care and respect as we wind down operations.  They have been critical to our success and remain treasured friends and professionals.  We thank them deeply for their contributions. Thank you all for your dedication and for the compassion you show one another as we move forward. Bari and Tom

Really hard to blame TSA agents for bailing. They have to feed their families. So when you get to the front of the security lines, don't take your frustrations out on THEM, even if they're grumpy. The folks who are still on the job deserve our profound thanks. And paychecks!

It’s impossible to get through this Cesar Chavez story without getting physically ill. Shaking. One of the most excruciating ever. Damn. Hearts out to these brave women. “In the end, they said that the story of Chavez’s movement was their story, too — of the women who marched beside the men, worked in the fields, took care of the children. The movement, they said, was more than one man. nytimes.com/2026/03/18/us/… via @NYTimes

This reporter refused to be shushed: Yesterday Mariam Khan (@MKhan47) was the TV pool representative aboard Air Force One, meaning she was there on behalf of all the major networks. Khan brought up the fact that "your PAC put out a fundraising email" using photos taken at a dignified transfer of US service members killed in Kuwait. She asked: "Do you think that's an appropriate email to send?" Trump said yes, and that he didn't see the email, then defended himself, then asked, "Who are you with?" Trump genuinely didn't recognize Khan — it was actually her first time aboard Air Force One with him. (She reported from Capitol Hill for ten years and recently switched beats to cover the State Department, Pentagon and foreign affairs.) When she answered Trump's question and said ABC, he said, "I don't want any more from ABC," and looked around the plane for other questioners. But Khan was undeterred. She tried asking about the deaths of US service members. He didn't respond. She later said, "Can you explain why we’re sending 5,000 marines and sailors?" and he replied with the shush, adding, "You're a very obnoxious person." Khan kept trying — recognizing, again, that she was there on behalf of CNN, Fox and other networks. She asked about the Pentagon investigation into the missile strike at the school in Minab, Iran. He said, "We don't know." She asked about the deaths of service members again. He ignored her. Khan was exemplary. She was, as one ABC colleague said, "steady as can be." She was respectful and persistent. She refused to be shushed.

In the dramatic circumstances of war, information must guard against the risk of turning into propaganda. It is every journalist's duty to verify the news, so as not to become a megaphone for power. They must show the suffering that war always brings to populations, which entails showing the face of war and recounting it through the eyes of victims.

The country is at war the @POTUS is spending his time composing rant like THIS--a long fulmination against the SCOTUS for their tariff decision, in which he shares his outrage that justices he appointed had the temerity to put the Constitution first. @realDonaldTrump/116236559151421767" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTru
