@smerconish If everyone with Devotion Syndrome votes for Derangment Syndrome and vice versa, don’t you think the vote % will indicate the real Syndromes are the inverse?

@gotrice2024 “Only New Reel Catch Fish So Purchase Some” is what you need to know as the answer to this question of right of way in the US. Seaplane = “Some”

A plane taking off strikes a boat, all passengers as well as the operators are accounted for, but who is at fault? Is there such thing as right of way when it comes to two different types of crafts?
SonnyBoy🇺🇸@gotrice2024

The family boat took on too much water and started to sink, but why is mom more worried about pouring out the drinks before she helps the kids? Their life-vests don’t look secure, they could have been swept away.

@gfc4 George - happy to help you out w this. I’ve learned many lessons and I’ve settled out on StreamYard. Perf for audio only and then going into video when ready. It’s what we did our @MonumentWealth pod on.

It’s not understaffing, it’s the automatic denials that make people wait. If they didn’t deny claims five or six times and force people to hire a lawyer to finally get them through (often years later) then it would be more efficient. The default is deny, even when the disability is obvious and permanent. It’s pure laziness, it’s far easier to just deny a file than look through it.

Musk says millions of dead people get Social Security. That's a lie. Here's the truth: 30,000 people die a year waiting for an understaffed Social Security to approve disability benefits. Musk's plan to cut Social Security's staff by 50% will make this tragic reality even worse.

I think this highlights how useful the digital medium is now. People looking for better / different opinions and advice can get to know advisors really well through their content these days without a commitment. Maybe that’s a way for her to break through the “they all seem the same” issue

@DavidBArmstrong Totally agree. I think the point this person is making is that he/she felt like that already did that and were disappointed. Thus, what if they're all the same??

Here’s a look inside a prospect’s mind who wants to change advisors. And it illuminates one of the main barriers we don’t think about… They don’t believe that making a move will make them better off. In other words…”What if they’re all the same?”

Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months.

This is one of my favorite weeks of the year. First, I record the "Best of 2024" recap pod episode for The Human Side of Money. Then, I'll spend half a day mapping out next year's guest list. We've got 26 open guest spots. Who should be the #1 priority guest for 2025?? 👇👇

@jbrendanfrazier It’s gonna be hard so long as boomer and gen-x (me) think the way to hire new people not to biz is to expect them biz dev right off the bat like we did to “prove themselves”. Thinking they can build a biz like we built a biz is unrealistic and a barrier to succession planning.

Genuine question… It feels like we’ve been dealing with failed succession planning for as long as I can remember. Should we have made more progress by now? Or is it an unsolvable issue?
