@flowsdoc I’m a nobody. But, I don’t like it when it’s a forced movement. Let the athlete be an athlete. Everyone has different movements that allow their body to achieve a task.
Impressive throw from a LKD by Aaron Parker.
Pop Time: 1.86
Velocity: 83 mph
Exchange Time: .63
He uses the drop step as his "cheat move" to prepare for the throw.

First you have to fall in love with practice!!!
Practice has to be more important to you then games!!

ABCA Day 2 🤝⚾️
Grateful for another day surrounded by coaches, parents, and players who care deeply about developing better movers, not just better mechanics.
The conversations keep reinforcing one thing:
👉 Player development starts with movement.
If you’re here at ABCA and want to talk:
• athletic foundations
• training transitions, not positions
• keeping players healthy while improving performance

📍 Baseball Flows Booth #1263
Let’s keep learning.
Let’s keep evolving.
Let’s keep helping players move better so the game shows up naturally.
Move Better. Play Better.
@flowsdoc I coached a 11-year-old whose trainer &parents believe he better throw every ball as hard as possible every single time regardless of what his coach says. Even when he’s walked four straight batters. This kid throws the ball at least 10 mph harder than his peers but at what cost.
Should kids throw curveballs?
Or are we asking the WRONG question?
I just evaluated a 10-year-old with a UCL tear…
who couldn’t even do a simple get up from the ground.
And we’re debating pitch types?
This isn’t a curveball problem.
This is a youth development problem.
Kids are:
⚾️ Playing 90+ games a year
⚾️ Throwing max intent before they can move
⚾️ Training like mini-pros
⚾️ Skipping athletic development
⚾️ Living in velocity culture
And then we’re shocked when their elbows explode.
So I’ll ask again:
👉 Is the curveball the villain?
Or are we breaking kids before they ever get the chance to grow?
Bunting drill
Set up two buckets third base lane and first base lane and aim for the buckets. The goal is to let the ball travel and to make contact more on top of the ball so the ball drops straight down and dies.
🚨 UT - 4 Base Drill
Emphasis on:
• Working on footwork
• Throwing from different slots
• Accuracy under pressure
⭐️ Great example of making your practice harder than the game!
