Il salvataggio del pilota Usa disperso il Iran è giunto al termine di una corsa contro il tempo, protrattasi per due giorni: le forze speciali americane hanno recuperato il militare grazie a un'imponente operazione che ha coinvolto centinaia di soldati. L'aviatore si trovava dietro le linee nemiche, tra le montagne dell'Iran. L'uomo ha trascorso più di un giorno in territorio ostile, con solo una pistola per difendersi. Aveva con sé un radiofaro di segnalazione e un dispositivo di comunicazione protetto, con cui è riuscito a coordinarsi con le forze statunitensi impegnate nel salvataggio. Una volta iniziata l'operazione di recupero, gli Stati Uniti hanno bombardato intensamente convogli iraniani che stavano cercando il militare, per impedire loro di avvicinarsi nell'area in cui si nascondeva. Due aerei atterrati in Iran per trasportare le truppe speciali sono rimasti bloccati in un'area remota del Paese: l'esercito Usa ha deciso di farli esplodere, per evitare che cadessero in mani nemiche, e ha dovuto mandare tre nuovi velivoli per prelevare le truppe e il militare

A new terror organization known as Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia is responsible for a series of attacks against Jewish institutions in Europe over the past week, the Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry said Sunday. The group, whose name translates to “The Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right,” emerged publicly this month and is believed to be linked with Iranian terror networks.
