@awmayhall @B1G_Jano If it was a flex worker I couldn't blame him as much as a real Amazon worker. They get paid per block and not hourly, no reimbursement for gas either. Still, it was his job regardless.

@B1G_Jano You know, my wife and an eployee mentioned that very thing when I put the signs up in the first place… I thought that it was already excessive. The delivery photo cracks me up. They saw the signs, they knew what they were doing. They didn’t care at all. Just Incredible.

What the actual F###. @amazon Not only are my delivery instructions specified and explicit, but the hilarity of signs plastered everywhere only reinforces said instructions... Based on that perfect delivery photo angle, this driver clearly knew what they were doing…

A friend of mine who's a millionaire now told me how he escaped his 9-5. And this is the wildest path I've ever heard. He's 31, driving a forklift on the night shift at a grocery distribution warehouse making $52K. Wife. Two kids under 5. Rent is $1,400/month. Can't quit. Can't even think about quitting. But every night, he's loading deliveries into the back of restaurants. And every single one has the same problem. The grease trap is overflowing. Managers yelling at plumbers on the phone. Health inspectors leaving warning notices on the door. Cooks slipping on grease puddles by the back exit. One night, he watches a plumber show up, spend 20 minutes pumping out a metal box under the sink, and charge the owner $435. He asks the cook how often they get it done. "Every month. Sometimes every 6 weeks. If we don't, the city shuts us down." $435 a month. For pumping out a box. He goes home and can't stop thinking about it. Looks it up. Turns out every restaurant with a kitchen is legally required to get their grease trap cleaned every 30-90 days. If they don't, it's a health code violation. Fines start at $250 and go up to $5,000. Repeat violations can shut the place down. This isn't optional cause it's the law. He finds out you don't even need a plumbing license in his state. Just a FOG transporter permit and proof of legal disposal. Total cost to get certified: $380. Then he finds a used portable vacuum pump on Facebook Marketplace for $1,800. Buys two 55-gallon drums and some hoses for another $340. Total startup: $2,520. Now this is where it gets stupid. He goes back to the same restaurant where he saw the plumber charge $435. Offers to do the same job for $250 on a monthly contract. Manager says yes before he finishes the sentence. Then he asks the manager something that turned his situation around. "You know any other restaurant owners who hate dealing with this?" The manager laughs and gives him 4 phone numbers. Says they're all in the same restaurant association and they all complain about grease trap costs at every meeting. He calls all 4 that weekend. 3 of them sign up at $250/month. That's $1,000/month recurring from 5 phone calls. He does the work at 5am before the kitchens open. Takes 25-30 minutes per trap. Done before sunrise and still makes it to his warehouse shift by 8pm. Then one of those owners mentions the restaurant association has a monthly meetup. 40+ owners in the room. He shows up with a printed one-pager: "Grease Trap Compliance Service - $250/month flat. Never worry about health inspections again." Signs up 11 restaurants that night. Now he's at 15 clients. $3,750/month. Working 5am-8am three mornings a week before the restaurants open. Still driving the forklift full time at night. Month 3: 22 clients. $5,500/month. He's now making more from pumping grease before breakfast than half his warehouse coworkers make in a month. Month 5: 34 clients. $8,500/month. His cost per service is about $40 (disposal fees, fuel, supplies). On 34 clients that's $1,360/month in costs. Profit: $7,140/month. He quits the warehouse at month 6. Month 8: 48 clients. $12,000/month revenue. $9,600/month profit after costs. By month 10, something weird happens. A restaurant owner he services also owns the strip mall the restaurant sits in. 5 units. The building is tired, tenants are complaining, and the guy just wants out. Offers to sell it to him off-market for $310K. He puts down $62K from his grease trap profits. Finances the rest. Keeps the restaurant as a tenant. Starts servicing their trap for free. Raises rent slightly on the other 4 units because he's now the most responsive landlord they've ever had because he's literally there 3 times a week already. Building cash flows $2,800/month after mortgage and expenses. Now he's got $12,400/month coming in from the route plus the building. By end of year 2: 73 restaurant clients, the strip mall, and a second small commercial property he picked up the same way. Monthly income: $22,000+ And the whole thing started because he watched a plumber charge $435 to pump out a metal box and thought "I could do that." His wife still jokes about it "You smell like a deep fryer every morning and somehow that's what made us rich." He told me the funniest thing is that nobody competes with him. Same reason nobody competes with the unglamorous stuff. Every kid on the internet wants to build an app or start an agency. Nobody wants to wake up at 5am and pump restaurant grease. That's exactly why he's been the only guy in his area for 2 years. He didn't "just quit" his job. He pumped grease traps at 5am for 6 months while still driving a forklift at night with two kids at home. The cage was real. The bills were real. The mortgage was real. He just built the exit while he was still inside it

This woman was getting gas at the local gas station. She put her card in and pressed 87 for the $2.85 a gallon gas. After she pumped she noticed she only got 17 gallons and it charged her $78 instead of $48. She went in and said something to the attendant that it charged her too much, he claims that she must have pressed premium 93 by mistake and even printed out the receipt that showed she pumped 93. She’s convinced that she’s being scammed and the pump automatically switched to 93 because either by the attendant or a malfunction in the machine because she knows she pressed the button for 87. When they went out and he demoed it for her, it worked as it should have but he also handed her a $20. So did she really accidentally pressed 93 or did he give her the money because he knows he was caught?
SonnyBoy🇺🇸@gotrice2024

This man was pumping gas at the gas station, as it approached 16 gallons of gas he knew he was going to reach what he wanted to pay. So when it went over 16 he was surprised and tried to stop the pump. He hit the release tab on the pump handle and it does nothing. It still pumps. It’s now approaching 24 gallons and he knows it’s going to flood and overflow his tank. Sure enough, as soon as he hit 24, gas spilled out onto the concrete. He panics and runs to hit the emergency shut off on the building. It cuts off power to the pumps and cuts out the lights. Did he wait way too long to shut it off or at least notify someone, what would you have done?
