Good afternoon. Katie and I are just back from a peaceful protest in Irvine. For the most part, I have always appreciated social media and my “followers.”🙏 If you actually know me and my family, then you know I am married to a naturalized adoptee from Korea and we are raising a mixed and modern family. Yes, my “lane” is golf, but I also tell stories about culture, community and kids. I am grateful to have a “platform” and how I choose to use that is a personal choice. Mine, not yours. For the record, I am not a “lib-tard” or a “pussy.” I believe Democrats (and most politicians) have been failing this country for over a decade. And they’re definitely failing us now. So is Congress and the Supreme Court. We are lacking leadership. That being said, I am also not a member of a blind right-wing cult of confusion and ignorance. I’m in the sensible middle. And I’d like to believe WE are the majority. I love this country, constitution, freedom, diversity, decency and immigrants. My great grandparents were all immigrants. My father served in the Army. He had nothing but integrity and he raised us to fight for what’s right. I am anti-racism, murder, ICE and this administration. The lies and hypocrisy of the pardons, corruption and abuse of the system for personal and financial gains is staggering and disgusting. Their goal is to divide and distract us. It’s working. I believe Stephen Miller is a Nazi. Steve Bannon is a raging and guilty lunatic. Hegseth, Patel, Bondi and Noem are grossly unqualified. This is all a power grab and diversion. Although I don’t condone illegal immigrants or “bad guys,” I care more about the release of the Epstein files—and what is obviously a massive pedophile cover up—than the immigrants waiting for the system to process their documents to legal status. If you saw the recent murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, or the detaining of Liam Ramos, 5, and believe they were all justified, we are on opposite sides of history. My eyes don’t lie. I actually believe that their attempt to divide us could backfire and ultimately unite us. But we need to be willing to see the truth first. I am comfortable where I am at this moment, a tipping point of this country, are you? Silence is complicity.✌🏼

Creating this course last year was a blast. Preview play will start 10/1/26. I might have snuck around a few times this week to test it out, every bit as much fun as many of our recent creations! I think Streamsongers will approve!

On the ground today previewing the progress at @streamsong’s 5th course, designed by @DavidMcLayKidd Kidd’s course places an emphasis on maximum variety, full of dramatic shots where angles matter in navigating around sandy obstacles: “As is my style, I guess, the golf course is pretty dramatic,” says Kidd. “The last thing I want is for you to be able to guess what’s next. I am playful; there is a lot of whimsy. I don’t want to be predictable.” All 18 holes are grassed and preview play is anticipated to begin in the fall, with a grand opening for public play in early 2027. 📸: @al_lunsford

@GolfCourseGurus Actually just below the pasture was river run sand and gravel. We excavated the down to what is the golf course today and capped with sand from local sand dunes using the potato haul trucks during their off season. I thinks it’s one of our best and yet least well know courses

The only @DavidMcLayKidd design in Idaho, Tributary started as a mostly flat marsh land and was built up with sand brought in via train from the sand dunes in nearby St Anthony. The result is a links-like course with plenty of risk/reward.
